l think discussion and such should go here...maybe even update this thread like the 30 in 30...and then just update your post in the other thread with only the list...thats my opinion anyway...
also, we HAVE to use the format you listed? l like the one l was using for the other thread:
##. mm/dd/yy: Movie Title (director, year) Grade
for example: 48. 02/12/05: Broken Wings (Nir Bergman, 2004) B
if you;d rather the other way, that's alright l guess...whatever yant.

Hey, I'm like half a day ahead of everyone in Japan so I've already started. I watched King Arthur on DVD and will be watching the remake of The Getaway tonight on cable.

Yeah, I was wondering about that "exact format" thing too. Is this acceptable?
01. 02/13/05: Twisted (2004) - C
or even Kypade's format with the director in it too. Whatever, but I'm just wondering. I don't want to lose points. :-#

Format Guidlines: Please try to follow the original guidlines, however, individualized formats are acceptable, as long as they are structered in an orderly manner.

I will discuss this matter with the contest jury. Perhaps a slight late penalty can be assessed and you will be permitted to join. Please keep track of your film viewings and I will let you know as soon as possible.

1. 2/13- Hitch (2005)
It is very rare in movies, that the trailer for the film, actually truly represents the film itself. However, this is the case for Hitch, which is filled to the brim with the stylish charm and humor showed in the preview for it. Unlike other recent rom-coms, this film does not try to pander to either men or women by making one or the other act more stupid then the opposite sex. It also has a unique twist to the dialouge, which is filled with extremely intellegent "dictionary talk", unlike the more simple language of say, "50 First Dates". Smith and Mendes are both excellent in there roles, and the film is beautifully shot, taking full example of the scenic New York landscape. Overall, Hitch is a relatively sophisticated comedy, with more then enough clever jokes to rake in the general audience. Grade: A-

Schlomo: Please post your lists in the "Ultimate Movie Mayhem Contenstant Lists" thread. It has been stickied in this forum. Also, please keep your reviews short, as with the vast quantity to be posted it will be difficult if all reviews are this long. Longer reviews/discussions can be posted in the "Your Take" thread.

Rogue, for the other thread, are we supposed to post what new movie we added? I have my list in the second post, and I'll update that, but do I post there what new movie I've seen in a seperate post (without reposting the whole list), or do I do it here?

I think I wont get any bonus points that are not accidental. No renting or possesing, so only randomness of satellite television.

13 Going On Go (2004) F
Wow. A word of advice to filmmakers attempting the next look back at the 80s, Thriller isn't the total sum of the decade. "Oh no, she's doing something socially awkward at the big affair. I wonder if it will all work out in her favor." Am I supposed to root for Class of 2004 over Fashion Suicide for Poise's redesign? Neither one made a lick of sense. It was like choosing between crap and vomit.
I've never seen such a nasty lead female character before in a romcom (And yes, I understand she's somewhat supposed to be nasty). She's robbing her company while having an affair with a married man. The ultimate task master, she's also falling in love with another man, so there's the potential for a second marriage to be destroyed. She's also a sexual predator, so parents in NYC beware. Nothing makes me laugh more than hot molestation.
This is a paint by number film at its worst. One big cliche after another. Bad, bad, bad. And not funny to boot.

Not sure what you mean. You list should look like this (although as I said you can customize it to your personal style)
1. Date / Movie Title / Letter Grade
Short Review
2. Date/ Movie Title/ Letter Grade
Short Review

If you wish to discuss each individual movie feel free to do so either in here or in the "Grade the Last Movie You Watched" thread.

You have been added. However you have been assessed a 5-point late penalty.

I watched the remake of The Getaway with Alec Baldwin and Kim Basinger who were married when they made it. Anyone seen it? They had a couple of pretty steamy sex scenes! Seems like that would be really uncomfortable instead of natural (unless your Pamela Anderson and Tommy Lee). Anyway, has anyone seen the original with Steve McQueen and Ali McGraw? I'm certain it's better than the remake which is pretty generic.

Hitch - A-
This is one of the best, if not the best, romantic comedies I've ever seen. Will Smith and Eva Mendes light up the screen with their chemistry. The movie instantly brings a smile to your face, whether it's Will Smith's charisma, Eva Mendes's beauty, or the hilarious Kevin James, who brings you to tears with some of his actions in Hitch. It's definently the perfect movie for Valentine's Day. I had high hopes, and as I walked out of the theater, I felt I got more than I could have asked for. Hilarious movie.

Is that list a suggestion or is it fact. I have two of those on my shelf and can spin them tomorrow if not sooner.
