For the weaker posters, this might be a soft spot, but for the stronger willed users, that have learnt to cope with their nick-names or bullying...i am just wondering if any of you have been picked out for bullying, and if so, what names did people call you?

I was quite mean at school. After i left and looked at things in retrospect, i realised that things i thought to be innocent fun were quite hurtful to some people. I felt awful and apologised to anyone who i felt i was nasty to, bullying? No, i didnt do that. Sarcastic and immature joking around with people who i thought were comfortable with it? Yes....i was a dickhead.

College really removes you from all that childish nonsense.

People call me by my name at school. But if they want to annoy me to say my name in a really french way. That and there's a guy that everyone calls Elton. He's foreign.

I haven't been called names in well over seven years. When I was in my earlier years of school, I was overweight, and the other kids got on me for it. But, with time, I lost weight, got a lot taller, and now I have been told that no one would be dumb enough to mess with me. Of course, I would need to REALLY be provoked to hurt someone, because I'm not much for hurting someone else. But, if someone asked for it, I'd be willing to oblige. It hasn't been since Grade 3 or 4 that I've been called names. I'm in Grade 12 now, and haven't had to face that problem. I also am not a bully, either. I have stuck up strongly for friends who were bullied, though.

I really never get made fun of anymore since i was young like pre school through 5th grade. I hated kid then but oh well. Now I the thing tha tpisses me off is when people call me dego or ginny.

Remember one simple thing in life. Always be nice to somebody who is nice to you. Be twice the jerk to somebody who is behaving like an asshole with you.

That is not going to happen unless the bully is Mike Tyson or the other person is carrying guns or something.

And not if you have the attitude that you never back down to a bully and will get your 2 swings in for his 10 swings (assuming the other person is bigger than you). Most bullies are cowards and if they see a determined person (look in the eye) they will go elsewhere.
