Technically often doesn't equal reality - I count my movies by the year I sees 'em in...

B-, not as good as the first two movies but not bad either. The Japanese setting, overall story, and characters were actually quite decent. The main flaw for me was the racing scenes, which lacked excitement, probably due to Justin Lin's lack of experience in that area. But if ignoring the racing sequences, the film is pretty entertaining to watch.

I saw The Fast and the Furious when it came out, and remembering that I didn't like it. After seeing Tokyo Drift, I definitely have to go back and watch it, since most of you seem to say the first was better.

I really did not expect to enjoy this at all, but the more it went on, the more I dug it. Perfect example of a brainless summer blockbuster flick. Nothing more, maybe a little less. A few qualms here and there don't really bother me much.

Grade: B+

Totally mindless cinema with a horrendous soundtrack and constant stream of soft asian porn . Bar the opening race sequence the car scenes are a complete mess of blur and idiocy. It's only real re-deeming feature the appearance of Diesel in the final minute a reminder of the only good thing this series had going for it.

If that was the year it was first released in my city, I would. WFI only had a tiny release in 2005, but came out in a wider yet still limited release in February 2006.

It's certainly debatable - but it fits in my own 2006 movie history...

One of those rare so bad it's good and so good it's good movies. It was entertaining to laugh at. It was entertaining to watch. I liked it more then 2F2F and almost as much as the orignal. 6.3/10, B-

I actually have to say I had a more enjoyable time then with Superman Returns.

I was going in expecting an incompetent mess even though I thought the first two films were good. Lucas Black and Bow Wow were the first two warning signs to stay away. That saying though, I almost had as much fun watching this as I did with the first movie. As a matter of fact, this is very close to being as good as the first movie. Also, despite the opening sequence with the kid from Home Improvement (Who I was glad to see is still alive) and the girl selling herself off to the winner of the race, I thought this movie wasn't that campy. The film took itself somewhat seriously and it worked.

I also thought Lucas Black and Bow Wow gave decent performances, considering Bow Wow dropped the "Lil" and is becoming a more "serious actor" and that Black can barely speak English thanks to his accent. I thought the storyline was actually kind of good. And the real reason to see the film of course are the car chases. Unlike the second film, the third doesn't feature a lot of that green screen crap, and if it does, it's blended much more nicely here. There isn't a lot of that blur crap like there was in the second film. I also thought the drifiting looked kind of beautiful - to use as corny a word as possible.

I'm shocked, but I really, really liked the film, and it was definetly worth the $12 at Circuit City.

Bump... for this underrated third film in the franchise, upon today's release of Fast & Furious (IV)...

Shit, absolute shit. I mean horrible, disgusting, enfuriating shit. It was almost like a really bad car crash, you REALLY wanted to look away, but it was just soo bad you had to see what it looked like. The way the cars swerve is cool, that's the pros. All of them. The negatives are too long to list. The only reason I even saw this whole movie is I was on a bus. I got about 20 min in, finally put on my music, but the ipod died after 10min so i had to watch it. SOOO BADDD
1/10 (It gets this only because the faults weren't as bad as say....Jumper, but there were so many of them.)

Just finished re-watching this, first time since the theater. I remember hating it in the theater but I actually enjoyed it this time? Like, 1000x funner than 2F2F. Some of it is laughably bad (them using a Spanish song for the end credits lol) but the race scenes are entertaining.

This was pretty bad. The dialogue is really awful and the acting is just as bad across the board. The car scenes aren't that good either.

Maybe it was a lazy Sunday night, but this was good time pass.

It's passable entertainment, but I thought Lucas Black and Bow Wow were horrible. I actually don't mind Lucas Black as an actor, but his VERY over the top accent can get really annoying at times and IMO he does seem miscast in this.

The best parts are easily the racing/drifting scenes and of course Han.

Lucas Black has to be the most uncharismatic actor ever.

The beginning of the film, as Lucas Black goes to a new high school, features the jocks at his new school beating a rival school's mascot, "The Indians," in effigy.

This should be banned or re-edited. So insensitive to the audience of these typically diverse films.

As for the film, I kinda like it. B.

While there is a decent story in this with Japan providing a different setting but Lucas Black lacks the charisma to carry this movie. The love story isn't explored enough but the finale with Han definitely gives the movie emotional stakes it needed. The problem is that the final car chase is not good enough.
