Now I had the opportunity to see "The House of A 1000 Dead Corpses" some time back on Cinemax and not only did I find ti to be totally Brutal, but disturbing to that made you feel all Grimy when you were finished watching it... It's Sequel, "The Devils Reject" appears to be even more Brutal, but not in the Horror sense and this reviewer claims that there is just no way this movie could be edited down to PG-13..
This kills TDKR At the box office next summer.. Get used to this

Yeah, I think this films sounds absolutely amazing. I've know for awhile now that it was going to be more along the lines of a Peckinpah, 70's gritty revenge tale than a horror film. I think that's why Rob chose to drop the "House Of 1000 Corpses 2" title. I'm also really excited to see how Rob's direction has matured and grown since the first film. He was all over the place stylistically and tonally in HO1KC, but there were moments of brilliance on display as well (the minute long steadicam shot of the Deputy's execution is one of the most stunning and haunting shots i've ever seen). Hopefully TDR will contain more of the brilliant direction and less of the spastic direction.
