 My DVR Movies
Here's what I have on my DVR: Far and Away (1992). The Birdcage (1996). Becoming Jane (2007). Diving Bell and the Butterfly (2007). Eastern Promises (2007). The Paper (1994). Isn't She Great (2000). What order should I watch these in, are there any that I just shouldn't bother with? Suggestions?

Watch all of them except for Isn't She Great. Why on Earth do you have that on your DVR?
Loyal, don't tell him to cross out The Birdcage and The Paper! The Birdcage is hilarious and The Paper was also quite entertaining.

I think of Marin as Eliza Doolittle (or Billy Ray Valentine) and there simply isn't any time for those movies. He needs to see the best films in the history of cinema in the shortest amount of time.

 Re: My DVR Movies
Becoming Jane is the most horrible thing ever. I saw it on an airplane, and its the only movie that could have made me wish United 93 was on for my viewing pleasure.

 Re: My DVR Movies
EASTERN PROMISES is the best movie on that list. It was absolutely wonderful. BECOMING JANE on the other hang was atrocious.

 Re: My DVR Movies
At least you know who Eliza D. and/or Billy Ray are. You do, do you? You didn't have to google them, right?

Although I haven't watched my fair lady, I think I'll add that to my netflix Although I must admit I am not sure who Billy Ray Valentine is, but if you tell me I better I'd have an "O duh" moment.

About 20 minutes into Eastern Promises and I am far from thrilled. I hope it gets better fast.

Haha, I didn't much, just that one, cause I was really annoyed with the beginning, but it got better, slowly but surealy. Mortensen was pretty great, not as good as DDL, or for that matter Rourke and Penn, but pretty impressive, and the movie was excellent but not fantastic or astonishing.

 Re: My DVR Movies
Eastern Promises takes a while to come together. It didn't seem like anything special to begin with, but I was blown away by the time it was over.
Diving Bell is an excellent movie, and it's very interesting to see the camera and editing techniques put to use. You should definitely check it out.
