I do as well. We have 20 ballots so far. I'll be sending mine this weekend sometime.

Not sure when the ceremony is. I'm flexible, but once we decide, we have to stick to it so I can plan around it.

I've written half of the intros for the presenters so far. We still have a few categories that are available.

By intro's do you mean the speeches the presenter makes before presenting the award?

Oh and my ballot will be in on Thursday, I promise.

I rented Eternal Sunshine of the spotless Mind today as a start of my MAJOR Oscar ctach-up. Seeing Closer, The Phantom of the Opera, Sideways, The Aviator and Bad Education in the upcoming days in theatres and Million Dollar Baby is, well, "in the making" ;)

By intros, I mean what I'll post before you post your presentation. I'm writing a little special intro for each of you guys when I call you to the stage. I've written yours already.

O great, as you picked the Best Picture category, does that mean you are going to thrill us with more talk about the politics of the Oscars rather than the best picture movies that were nominated, which you haven't seen the above ones.

O joy! Can't wait.

You know, I could say a lot, but I think that Maverikk and Dolcevita (even though her post has somehow disappeared) has said all that needed to be said on the issue. Therefore, you are a troll and nothing more.

But incase it makes you sleep better, by the time of the awards, I'll have seen pretty much all of the nominees.

You'll each be called to the stage to give your presentation. That will be your intro. :wink:

Example of Intros:

Maverickk the Host: "Next up is Best Score. One of the resident music lovers at World of KJ is BOBOLICIOUS. Bobolicious has been very active in the Music community at the website and his devotion and knowledge of film scores is unmatched. To present Best Score, here is BOBOLICIOUS!"

*applause*

Yep, they go something like that. I thought it would be pretty obvious, but two people have asked me now. :lol:

Yeah, so here is the sequence:

1. Mav announced what the next category is;
2. People chat about who will/should win;
3. Mav introduces the presenter;
4. Mav posts the speech that the presenter wrote for the nominees;
5. Suspense...people continue to debate about who win win...;
6. Mav announced the winner;
7. Some =D> , some ](*,), and maybe even a few :shock:;
8. Argument continues...

Do the presenters know who the nominees are so that they can write about them?

I will introduce the presenter, but I'm going to let them post their own speeches and announce the winner in a seperate post that follows. That way, everybody is very involved. I'll have all of the speeches, so I can post their speech if something prevented them from coming to the ceremony. (unless you guys really want me to post your speeches and announce the winners for you???)

1. I'll do my opening monologue and say "we'll be right back after these messages".
2. People will chatter and post for a minute.
3. I'll come back to introduce the first presenter.
4. The first presenter posts their speech.
5. Speculation and name chatting ensues from the onlooking crowd.
6. The presenter posts the winner.
7. Cheering and booing follows.
8. I come back to introduce the next presenter.
9. It follows that course.

I'll only be posting to present, so whenever anybody sees my post, they will know they are up. I won't be cheering or chanting in between to avoid confusion.

If everybody posts their own speeches, it will give the appearance that they are on the stage, just like the real awards, and when they post the winner, it's like they are opening the envelope.
To make everything run smoothly, I'll be sending out a really easy to follow guide when I recieve their speeches via PM. (I need those no later than 3 days before the ceremony) One thing I will be telling everyone, is to keep a window open with your speech all ready to submit, and use a seperate window to watch the show. That will save time.

Wait....are we not having another voting round in which we are voting for the winners? :-k
