Which means awesome in bABA-speak. You have no authority to speak for him, so give it a rest. You'll be able to watch the film soon enough and give it your inevitable A+ grade...

 Re: Watchmen
Loved it. Faithful to a fault to the source material. I don't agree with some of choices Snyder made (at least for general audiences) but the good/great/brill outweighs all that.
Birth of Dr. Manhattan Credit Sequence Any of the Minutemen footage Rorschach Prison sequence
Audiences will be GREATLY divided on it. Even in my group of 4, half loved it, one liked it, one had seemingly serious issues with it (especially the acting and casting).
Oh and there was booing at the end. Loud booing. Not sure the last time I heard booing at the end of a movie. But I started a clap and others joined in.

Perhaps I use the term too broadly but I describe anyone who has read the source material and deeply loved it (myself included) a fanboy, and I finished the novel a few days ago.

How is it fair? You haven't seen it. Sheesh. That's as bad as fanboyism really.

Being a fanboy of the novel has nothing to do with being a fanboy in relation to this film.

 Re: Watchmen
Looking at who Greengrass wanted to cast in his version, I think Snyder made the right choices, in all but one case.
Simon Pegg - Rorschach Daniel Craig - Night Owl II Jude Law - Ozymandias Sigourney Weaver - Sally Jupiter Joaquin Phoenix - Doctor Manhattan
I think Ozymandias needed someone with much more gravitas

 Re: Watchmen
It may be awesome as a graphic novel (haven't read it) but as a movie it's pretty dreary. I give it props for not being your usual superhero story, though. 6.5/10
p.s. Rorschach is a motherf***ing badass!

 Re: Watchmen
I've been listening to Pruit Igoe & Prophecies all day long (any excuse to listen to Phillip Glass really).
The Dr. Manhattan birth sequence may become a seminal moment. If you were to consider that 10 minute sequence an origin film, it's better than any of the other 2 hour long versions I've seen.
