Hey guys, I was thinking about the snob thread in cinemania and how several new posters joined in. They admitted they were lured into posting after being long-time lurkers, but the best part was that they all had seen a lot of interesting movies. I wonder with the new faces, do we want to try and revive the Annual International Film Festival thing? Maybe it could be fun and a nice way to bring everyone out of the woodworks.

Of course, we'd need hosts and organizers, and some of 'yall would need to be willing to begin pulling teeth again, but I remember the previous one being fairly active (conparitively speaking). And with a couple of the new members that said they liked international films, maybe it could be even bigger this time if people are willing to put inthe energy.

Too much energy. I can bug people to join as members, but hosts is another thing. I would need country hosts that were willing to enthusiastically join me in doing the dirty work, too.

I definitely think it should go ahead, i've loved reading through the previous ones. While i can't even think about putting the time into hosting over the next 6 months, i'd be an enthusiastic participant wherever possible.

We will do this nice and slow though, and get a good date where everyone is free. A revival needs to be exponential in energy!
