 Which 5 Directors Would You Like To See Present? Moreso that actors, I would get a huge kick out of seeing some of these guys giving praise to one another. Actor's careers revolve around lying (are we really supposed to believe Sophia Loren gives a fuck about Meryl Streep). But directors, straight shooters.

I would LOVE to see Eastwood grumble his way through accolades for Peter Jackson but I'm 99% sure they'll both be nominated.

Re: Which 5 Directors Would You Like To See Present? One has to think that if the Academy did this, they have to pick people who would be recognizable. How many average people know who Jonathan Demme, James L. Brooks or Barry Levinson?

ROMAN POLANSKI...that is until he is arrested mid-speech.  I'm guessing that's the main reason they didn't do it this past weekend. But I think there's enough directors who viewers would recognize to do this for 3-4 shows.
