 Re: RATE! RATE!
B+. Solid, but not spectacular.
Thoughts on the ceremony:
-Overall it was thankfully not boring and Jackman was very charismatic. I enjoyed his musical performances.
-I would've preferred to see Benjamin win, but Slumdog was excellent so I'm not upset at all.
-The kids being on-stage was awesome.
-Best speeches were: Milk's screenplay (can't remember the name!), the Slumdog sound guy, Kate, Penelope and Danny's.
-Wall-E getting robbed in the sound cats was absolute bullshit, thankfully it still won Animated Feature, if the Oscars had been a repeat of the Annies I would have vomited.
-Tina/Martin were hilarious.
-I loved how they repeatedly made fun of The Reader.
-Kate won, I don't care if she didn't deserve it for this particular performance, but she's wayy long overdue.
-Brangelina ignored Ryan Shitcrest once again (yay!)

 Re: RATE! RATE!
wow, at school today, I found out that people loved yesterday's show (with a few cynical exceptions who I think hate it every year). Three of my classes (like, including the teachers) had conversations about either the cool new style or individual skits that they loved (the Pineapple Express one in particular).
They should capitalize on this and nominate a big movie for next year's Oscars -- I'm guessing they could get a great turnout.

 Re: RATE! RATE!
considering I had never once heard people talk about the Oscars the day after at school, or anywhere for that matter, I'd call this a pretty good thing.

i dont know what that means, but judging by this website in general, i'm guessing it was a sarcastic stab at me.

Your school. oh. yeah, the kids of a number of famous people go there. Some of them are the huge assholes you'd expect them to be (the Schwarzeneggers). Some of them are really tight (Oliver Stone's son). Some are both (the Nicholsons).

Tight and big loose assholes?
Nice signature, by the way.
Anyway, didn't watch the show, but winners-wise easily the dullest in years.

B
Liked how the Acting Cats were presented, though Directing should have been presented the same way.

 Re: RATE! RATE!
Lets face it, ever year on the net its the same thing. Most people complain about the ceremony. This year atleast some people liked it. I'd give it an A for effort.
