But this just means that if Slumdog weren't to win, it would be seen as a total snub since it has won everything before the oscar.
They really need to do away with all the precursors. Or at least move the Oscars before all of the guilds or way after. The first snub people actually wanted. Once again proving that sometimes, the Academy just shouldn't listen to "people".

This isn't like Crash where the movie was extremely divisive and had as many detractors as it did supporters. There are FAR LESS people who dislike the movie than a lot of people seem to think. I just get tired of this, when people who feel strongly against an Oscar contender or something presume to speak for everyone. I loved Slumdog, thanks.

People just take this stuff way too seriously. Like, a movie you didn't like is going to win the Best Picture Oscar. It's an earth-shattering tragedy, I know.

At the same time, there are people that literally fight over sports. College, professional, little league. It's the culture of competition and fandom. And since we can't physically beat Dev Patel up, this is the next best thing.

I have no problem if you loved the film. In fact I really have no problem with this film winning. It really doesn't bother me that much. At least I don't make posts singling out people. So who does it bother now?
