Come on people, join up! This is one of the greatest animated films ever, and Disney's most mature output!

I'm a huge fan of it \:D/

Box, my man, You are correct. Hunchback was an awesome movie not the best ever but on of the best and I loved the live show in MGM. If you are ever there be sure to catch it. The sequel they made for it was ok

Never saw it. The sequel was terrible though.

Box, dear, it was jsut so bad though. I mean it is a great adult novel., but I song were a man sings about how a women has to fuck him or he'll kill her...the film felt laot of adult material dumb downded poorly for kids.

The Lion King was much better at dealing with mature themes (death of a parent, growing up, betrayel, etc.).

In this case the source material proved to much for the adpaters, its really not a good kids story.

Very, very underrated film. I'd say it's in my top 10 favorite Disney films.

Definitely in my top 5 all time Disney films. Great music, adult themes, humor -- should have been a bigger hit but Disney promoted it like a kid's film, unlike how they promoted Beauty and the Beast and Lion King, with an eye towards adults as well. It was directed by the same team that did Beauty and the Beast, and the word for a while was that they were next going to do Phantom of the Opera -- then I pointed out in my animation column that apparently these guys can only make movies about ugly men falling in love with beautiful women in France. Instead they did Treasure Planet.

I absolutely love this movie! It's very underrated, and should of been bigger than it was when it was released. I loved all of the characters, and Esmeralda was very sultry. The songs were really great, and the animation looked great. It's a great film, and I really need to go out and buy it. So Box, please add me to this club. I adore this film!
