It'll sooo make more than $200m. If The Day After Tomorrow made $186m, there's no way Batman will miss.
Bet #1: If the movie does not make more than $200m, I will change my nick to "tokerrino" or "stonerrino", since people on this board come to the conclusion I'm a MAJOR burnout. If not that, I'll become "whoreino".
Bet #2: If the movie does not make more than $200m, I will declare Zingaling my god and worship his fine taste in movies, including the spectacular Blade Trinity.
Bet #3: If the movie does not make more than $200m, I will put the phrase "I got served by *insert names*" in my signature.

Even I'm not sure if it will make over 180 million.
but for the sake of it, i'm gonna go out on a limb here.
I say Batman Begins WILL make over 200 million dollars.
So place your bets!!
All joining this wager must be serious. If you lose, you MUST carry out the penalty of losing the wager! Else I'll think of something drastic and implement it.
There are 2 sides: Those who believe it will make over 200 million (total subject to change if 200 seems tooo little) Those who believe it will make less than 200 million.
Now we decide what the loser must do if they lose. There will be no leaving of the forum (we're few in any case). But no matter what, we will have to carry out whatever we decide on.
On top of that, feel more than free to put down individual wagers based upon anything that can be measured! (opening weekend, rt meter rating .. records, movie comparisons)
This is my individual wager: If batman begins fails to make over 200 million dollars, i will change my nick for 1 week to "bkb owned my ass" or "bkb owned me" incase my nick doesn't fit.
I will keep a record of all the bets in the 2nd post.
onwards!!
I mean, I guess if you want... It just doesn't matter to me what this movie makes or not and I said I'd give it a chance... It's obvious that the hardcore fans will be out in full force to see it and opening weekend will usher in probably around 50-55 Million, but in the end, this movie has no interesting Villains outside what only comic nerds will know.. The general audience will have never heard of Ra Al Ghul, or The Scarecrow or Falcone since there villains that scrape the bottom of the Barrel and even David Goyer has gone on record saying that.. Tim Burton's 1st BATMAN with Nicholson and Keaton made what??? Around 250 Million domestically after all was said and done?? That movie had the hardcore fans to, but a better known Villain to the general audience like The Joker.. BATMAN BEGINS has neither and after watching the trailer for it, it doesn't even feel like a BATMAN Comic Adaptation like Burton's did which was more imaginative... There shooting for too REAL of an approach to this movie instead of a more imaginative comic appraoch and that's what will hurt this movie the most.. This feels like they've thrown LOTR along with "7 Years in Tibet" with all the trekking through the Mountains and Sword fighting to bring and Capitalize off those 2 movies to dig this franchise out of the ground.. The Superbowl Trailer was also ranked the lowest as though no one really cared outside of the fans of this... With that having been said, I say BATMAN BEGINS Makes about 220-250 Million Domestically and not a penny more..

I mean, I may have my doubts about this movie, but I'm willing to recognize it's fanbase like Burton's 1st BATMAN and will probabaly make what that did, but no more.. Hell, it might even make less based on the fact that Nolan is making this too REAL instead of imaginative in it's settings like Burton did and it just doesn't feel like a BATMAN movie with a Car or Tumbler, whatever it is, in place of the traditional look of the Batmobile which is what people recognize the most.. The Tumbler looks a little too TNT Redman Monster Truck Hoosier looking compared to Burton's Batmobile..

I think it will make a little over $200 million. There's no way this could possibly make any less. I'm thinking a final domestic gross of $210-$220, which is very good, and close to the original. I think everything is amazing for this movie, the trailer is awesome, and leaves the audience begging for more, which I was, and the marketing campaign they are doing is excellent. I firmly believe this Batman film will put the franchise back on top where it so rightfully belongs, especially after the train wreck Batman & Robin, which shouldn't of been greenlighted in the first place.
