I have this downloaded, and I'll probably watch it tomorrow, but I don't really want to see it at all. It looked pretty bad, it has bad word of mouth, and I loathed The Grudge because of how repetitive it was, and I hear Boogyman is the same way, so I'm watching it with low expectations, but hopefully it's better then The Grudge.

If they actually do go through with it, they won't be getting my $6.50.

$10.50 for me and I can't believe they are already talking about a sequel.

I know. I don't see how you can make a sequel out of that. The story seemed pretty much.. over.

Yeah but hollywood will do anything to make a buck.

I mean hell, I LOVED saw...but how can there be a sequel...its really not needed

And the trash white noise? How will they make a sequel out of that?

Some movies are just better left untouched

I agree. Saw is one of the best horror movies I've never seen, but the sequel isn't needed. I'm definently going to see it because of my love for the first, but it will not match up, gauranteed.

White Noise is an iffy one because it has the possibility to be made into a sequel based on it's ending. Boogeyman has a conclusion that can't be added onto unless it's just complete trash to get the bucks. Looks to be the case.

Considering Boogeyman only opened with $19M, a sequel would be ludicrous.

I mean, it's unlikely to top $45M total. I don't care if it's profitable. Bleh. Stupid people.

The whole shock ending to Saw will never be topped in a sequel, so I really don't know what they'll do. If they don't have a shock ending, it will seem bland. And if they do, it will seem forced. Damned if they do, damned if they don't. But, that's not even my biggest complaint. My biggest complaint is the writers will not be helming the sequel. At best, they get exec producing credits. They created a genius film, one of my all time favorites, but anyone else is going to fuck up the original.

White Noise was fine until the last 20 minutes. It completely got screwed up, and I don't even know for sure what the hell happened, because I was bored by their attempts to go 0 to 60 in two seconds. A sequel? Not sure on that.

Now that I saw Boogyman, I can say I don't want a sequel at all. It would be like making a sequel to Darkness Falls.

I havent seen it but judging from the BO numbers i think this is highly unwanted and un-needed.

The sequel should be DTV, to save Sam Raimi from humiliation. If Boogeyman 2 is released in theaters, it'll do worse than an Uwe Boll movie.

Now think about that for a moment, what you said?? :-k Alone in the Dark didn't make jack squat at the box office even in it's opening weekend and premiered on the charts at #14.. I've never heard of a movie, not even Catwoman opening that low on the charts.. Boogeyman on the other hand, opened decently for a typical dumb teen PG-13 Horror and did so at #1 and didn't lose a massive amount of theatres like Alone in the Dark did and this movie will never get a sequel EVER.. I'd say if Boogeyman II is made(and it will be) it will perform better or just as good as the 1st one, that alone is infinitely better than what Uwe Boll's movies have ever made..

Post Horrible news!
BOOGEYMAN is the worst film of 2005, thus far (Even worse than Uwe Boll's horrid ALONE IN THE DARK, IMHO). Barry Watson was a dull lead, the direction was needlessly over-the-top, and the scares were MIA, even though its produced by the man who delivered one of my all-time favorite horror films, THE EVIL DEAD.

I may rent the follow-up, if it is indeed released, but I cannot imagine myself paying to see it in theatres. This franchise just doesn't interest me after the painful first entry..

Eeeek, well i need to wait a couple of weeks til it's released here in the UK,. then i'll be seeing it.

But a sequel...."Boogeyman 2" doesn't sound good.
