"Without getting my own ass in trouble, here's a smallish bit of news. Twentieth Century Fox are in talks with Johnny McTiernan to do a new Predator film - not a sequel, not a remake, not a prequel; more of a restart. There's talk - based on a treatment that's floating around the traps - that it might fix on Dutch's (the guy from the first film, Arnie played) grown-up commando kid.

John Cena's (one of Vince McMahon's kids) name has been branded about for the lead - but it's early days. They apparently want to coax JMT away from The Thomas Crown Affair sequel, have offered him this hoping it'll do trick"...


This sounds lame and I'd rather have someone like Paul W.S Anderson step up to the plate with his vision since AVP was a proven success than see something with a WWE Wrestler in it like John Cena and this premise... Your kidding me??

I would rather they not continue the Predator movies at all. Paul Anderson will do nothing but furthur destroy the Predator franchise. He's already did major damage with the medicore AVP. Just my two cents, don't resort to personal attacks BKB just because I have my own opinion.

I just don't see how Paul W.S Anderson destroyed the PREDATOR Franchise.. How??? I laugh everytime I go to these other sites like RT or IGN and posters complain about the PREDATORS in AVP being too Bulky or too big and there masks were different, YET, How does one know that the PREDATOR'S Homeworld doesn't have PREDATORS of all shapes and sizes?? That's like saying everyone on Earth here is the same shape, same size, same build etc, when were not..

I'm all for it. There's just one thing i find a bit - how should i say - stupid: why on earth does the main character necessarily has to be a muscle man? I would rather go for a good actor first...
