I think that's partly because it's a showy ole in an astwood film and partly because she was snubbed for A Mighty Heart.

Re: Best Actresss - who will miss out? I'm predicting that Leo will miss, but I wouldn't be surprised to not hear the names of Jolie and Hawkins called on Thursday. Despite precursor strength, buzz has been quiet for Jolie and Changeling (and precursor help didn't get her the nomination last year for A Mighty Heart), and Hawkins has been hot and cold this awards season.

I think the Eastwood-Oscars factor will keep Jolie in there, and the fact that Hawkins is the only one in a not-depressing movie of the bunch will probably keep her there, too.
