Post Mexico In Civil War?
I'm posting this because I know some people here are Mexican and I'm interested in what's going on over there. It looks pretty ugly in the drug cartels vs. the government.

 , Mexico's been in civil war forever, but as long as you dont do anything bad, you're safe :) , and honestly there's nothing you can do when your own police dept. is full of drug dealers....

I think the Mexican Army and the Federal Police are patrolling the streets, well at least here in Tijuana where all the action is happening. Its really sad when you cant trust even the police, thats why we are like this. People dont report any suspicious behavior or anything illegal because WE KNOW they are not going to do anything about it and WE KNOW they are part of the drug cartels.

Its far worse. I really dont know what is happening around the whole country, with knowing what is happening here in Tijuana is more than enough. I personally dont but a lot of people fear for their life everytime they go outside the door. You cant go eat at a restaurant or a taco stand because there might be a shooting spree. They even killed a man inside a movie theater or hell even inside the own houses. Of course most of the people killed are part of the game but a lot of innocent people have been murder because there are just in the middle of the shootings.

It really isnt a Drug Cartel Vs. The Government. Is Drug Cartels vs Drug Cartels. They are fighting to control the city and these guys are pissed of because the government is in their way and they threatening to kill children every day if they dont back of there own little "war".

i dont have the number of 2007 to compare but there were 847 drug related executions just in 2008. In the first 9 days of 2009 there were reported 28 drug related executions, i can only imagine what is the total number as of today.

Well at least Poza Rica isnt as bad as Tijuana, here you see the army with tanks downtown and supermarkets, everything is ok now but last year around october/september there was a week where everyday you heard shootings between drug dealers and the police, but when the drug dealers kidnaped the owners of a company in charge of the buses of the city, the army came and there were nearly 2-3 shootings in the north of the city everyday, a week after that the police found the decapitaded bodies of those guys, things got uglier. The city had a curfew for nearly two weeks. Everything is ok now :)
