The final date is still to be determined, but since the general consensus is to have the award show before Oscar as we don't want people get influenced by the results and Oscar kind of signals the end of the award season, I assume the best time will be Saturday night, Feb 26. We can also do Sunday after noon and before 5:00pm PST, if people aren't heading for oscar gathering party that day. The announcement show will be on Feb 17th, so that gives us a week to vote on the winners.
I guess I will do costume design then.

How about the awards show be on Sunday, March 6th, 2005 @ 8PM eastern time, but the winner selections are due Sunday, February 27th, 2005 @ 3PM eastern time.

True. I was just thinking about that right after I posted. That makes more sense and more in line with my original schedule. Mav will host the show, and we're communicating throughout the process.

Thanks, Lecter, Chris, loyal, and if there was anybody I missed, for offering to help out more if needed. There aren't many categories left, so if they aren't taken immediately after xia announces the nominees, you guys can fight over them.
Best Supporting Actress
Best Ensemble
Best Editing
Best Costume Design
Best Score
Best Song
Best Visual Effect Impact
Best Makeup
That's not many, so I'm sure we can get 8 members to help out. We have plenty of regulars that I don't see listed *cough*EaglebABAMikeVArchieGatesandarooRaffikixiayunmatatonio*cough* (that's 8, but I could keep coughing up names if you like  )

Cool deal! I have some editing to do in the first post, as I have to update the names of those who have sent in ballots, so make sure that you and matatonio look at those to see if we all have the same names.

If no one claims Best Supporting Actress by the time the awards roll around, I'll gladly present that too.

Thank you for the offer, Libs. I'll keep pestering the guys, and guilt worked well for getting Tony involved, so I might go back to that if need be, but I'm glad to see we have it covered if we need it.

Yeah, these are the ones I have as well. torrino did send me his ballot very early one, but he said he is sure he will update them by the deadline as there are numerous movies that he hasn't seen, so I'm not counting his yet. However, I can forward it to you if you want to take a look at what torrino is leaning toward.

Those are the ballots that I have as well. My ballot is about half done, as I still have 2 movies to see.

I already have a ballot prepared as well. I'm confident that 98% of the nominees won't be changed, but I like to catch 3-4 more movies to call it complete. I can also pm you guys what I have now and update if necessary so there won't be any suspicion of purposely helping one and sabbatage another nominee. Most of my nominees shouldn't be surprising considering I've posted my preferences for different categories in other discussions in the foum.

haha...I trust you not to try to stack the vote. Mine will also be easy enough to see as a true ballot, and I'm going to try to get it turned in within the next few days so I play no part in making a difference.

For an update, even with the relatively small sample we have so far, favorites and battles are already shaping up big time. This is fascinating, and some surprises are definitely in the making.
