 Re: Yes Man
Another fun ol' Carrey comedy. Carrey was funny again and most of his jokes worked. Zooey Deschanel was a nice charm. The supporting cast though (Bradley Cooper, Danny Masterson, and Rhys Darby especially) were wonderful. Overall this a comedy that is just meant overall to provide great laughs and a good time at the cinema.

The chemistry between Carrey and Duschanel is the only standout. Other than it was very average.

 Re: Yes Man
A pleasant enough but ultimately average comedy that could have definitely been a lot better. Both Carrey and Deschanel are good and their chemistry is strong, but the roles are somewhat underwritten and the lame third-act drama felt completely forced and unnecessary here. Anyways, worth seeing at some point - but better suited as a rental than anything else. C+

 Re: Yes Man
This concept had so much potential. Imagine Yes Man, the R rated shock comedy. We're talking Jim Carrey meets 2 girls 1 cup. Or Yes Man, the David Lynch film.

 Re: Yes Man
I think it was fun/funny. It dragged on a bit towards the end, especially when the whole airport incident came into play. But it was harmless. Enjoyable, B-.

Much better than Bruce Almighty and Fun With Dick and Jane, but still not a complete return to form. Consistently funny and just a good time at the movies. B+

 Re: Yes Man
A lazy and mostly unimpressive movie with occasional moments of true inspiration and some almost human emotions that help to, but don't entirely, make up for the over-the-top broad comedy. On the whole it is a rather entertaining movie and the scenes involving Norman, as well as all the various loans Carey grants are worth laughing at. But the romance is poorly illustrated, and never very compelling. 5.5/10

YES MAN - 7/10 ( B )
This was a surprise. It looked stupid. I'm not a fan of slapstick Jim Carrey (or a fan in general) and was mainly interested for Zooey Deschanel. It looked like another Liar Liar, which I didn't like. It ended up being pretty funny and cute though. And slapstick Carrey didn't get on my nerves here.

That pretty much sums up my thoughts, even the airport scene. The airport scene is really where the film begins to loses it's tone and it just kind of stops being funny. Everything before that is quite good. The film starts off strong and it doesn't let up until the airport. The problem though is that there's another 30 minutes to go after the airport. It's worth watching but its one of Carrey's lesser comedies. **½

I enjoyed it. It wasn't anything groundbreaking but it was definitely amusing and a fun way to spend a few hours. I laughed. And then I smiled. So I guess that is good right?

4/10 -> D
Oh my. Almost a complete disaster. This movie is just damn unfunny. Yes Man didn't need a Jim Carrey approach. Some actor with a "classic" comedic talent would have been a much better choice. Carrey's overacting just didn't work for me at all. Also I'm not a fan of Zooey. I think she's cute and she has a nice voice, but her acting is blend all of the time.

 Re: Yes Man
I've still not seen this but saw an ad for this on TV and while Carrey was shown - it was billed as "starring Bradley Cooper" - no mention of Carrey. I thought it was rather hilarious if not misleading.

It's light and enjoyable despite also being a 100-minute advertisement for all things Warner Bros.

Ah, remember when Bradley Cooper was only known as "That dick from Wedding Crashers"
