Re: Nikki Finke's Early Saturday Estimates
would've been nice if they increased, but honestly, every one of these openers is doing better than I expected (even Bedtime Stories, to an extent). What an amazing weekend. Three $150m+ hits, all of which would've done way less than that without Christmas.

Re: Nikki Finke's Early Saturday Estimates
Nikki revised her numbers:
1. Marley and Me - 12.6 Saturday/ 36.7 3-day Weekend/ 51.4 4-day weekend 2. Benjamin Button - 9.6 Saturday/ 27.5 3-day Weekend/ 39.2 4 day weekend 3. Bedtime Stories - 10 Saturday/ 28 3-day Weekend/ 38.5 4 day weekend
Isn't it troubling for Button's legs that it kept decreasing since Thursday?

Isn't it troubling for Button's legs that it kept decreasing since Thursday? And the thing of it is, is that everyone STILL thinks Bedtime Stories is cracking a 100 Million as though the movie is magically going to gross another 60 Million in 1 week when it's being beaten by 2 other movies..

Re: Nikki Finke's Early Saturday Estimates
It's a possibility. NATM managed to crack $100 million in 9 days with a $30 milllion 3-day and $42 million 4 day.
Cast Away took 10 days with $28 million 3-day and $39 millio 4-day take. Those two were the closest ones to compare with if looking at the similar release dates, current intakes and goal.
It's the end of the year and legs should be wild. So it's a definitive possibility.

What are you trying to say? That it won't ever hit $100 million or that it won't hit $100 million within a week?

Re: Nikki Finke's Early Saturday Estimates
I think he's saying that it's impossible for it to make $60 million in the next 7 days to give the movie a 100 million haul. That's the only thing that would make sense to state. Because Bedtime is definitely crossing $100. So is Valkyrie. There's no doubt there.
But then again, rereading his post I do wonder the same thing myself as you Lecter.

Re: Nikki Finke's Early Saturday Estimates
Looking at this thread -> viewtopic.php?f=12&t=46777 MR. GREEN seems to believe Bedtime will be lucky to pass 100 million. Hilarious.
