I used to think HIMYM was the Friends of 2000 but BTT fits that more.

HIMYM is so much more original and inventive than Friends. I am amazed how they are able to maintain the quality of their writing over four seasons now. It's definitely the funniest thing on TV

One og the weaker episodes of the season. However the ending was fantastic

Yeah, not one of the season's best, only because the main storyline with Ted and his sister wasn't particularly funny (it wasn't really supposed to be, though), other than Barney's dirty Christmas songs about her.

I did love the Marshall-Robin bonding. I think they're the only two characters who don't really have "alone" scenes together ever, so that was cool. And I about died at the end when Marshall sang "Let's Go to the Mall" at the Canadian bar! Hahahahah.

This show is fantastic both in general and this season, but I do have a quibble about how Alyson Hannigan is underutilized every now and then. I feel like Lily is too often used as a plot device or just added on to another character's storyline. I hope she starts getting some more intriguing stuff to do soon. You can tell Alyson's pregnant, though, since she seems to be hiding behind things. Also, since Cobie Smulders is also pregnant, I wonder what they're gonna do with that.

My take was the same. The main plot was okay but the subplot was great. "Nobody likes the dark."

* Overall, think it had enough very funny scenes to still be a good episodes.

* Think with so many characters in a 30 minute show and having Ted and Barney in the fore-front, Lily (and Marshall) are almost like a background character....like a Kramer on Seinfeld.

* Wonder if the aura of Barney could have been strong enough to im-pregnate both of them.

I would make Lily pregnant and let Robin have a sympathy pregnancy

So, I always said I wanted to start watching HIMYM. But for 2 years, I never did.

I finally ordered the first season on Netflix and my brother and I burned through most of season 1 in 2 days. I am in love with this show. While it's not like the biggest/greatest thing, it's definitely the cutest/funniest thing I've seen in quite some time on TV.



Oh, by the way, for the true fans: which season was the "Slap Bet" episode in (with Robin Sparkles)? That was the one and only episode I had ever seen before starting to watch it 2 days ago.

Slap Bet is somewhere in the middle of the second season...

Yay another fan!

Ok so the show is starting its syndication run on January 5th but I don't get why it is going to be on Lifetime. HIMYM in my opinion is definitely not a show to be syndicated on Lifetime.

Lifetime works for me, especially if they pair it with Frasier. That's a lot of funny.

It's in great company, assuming they don't toss Frasier to the side of the road.

It will be a bad for the show though. If it was on TBS or USA it would get more viewers which would probably help awareness, more people would sample it, and raise the ratings of the original Monday night broadcasts.

Halfway into season 2. I loooove this show!

I'm just starting to catch up with the show too. I've seen most of Season 4 this year and I've liked what I've seen. I got Seasons 1-3 over Christmas and got through most of Season 1 last night with one disc to go. It's amazing, right from the second episode on you could tell that these guys just have great chemistry from one another.

It's a great show. Can't wait to see more.

Up to the first Britney Spears/Sarah Chalk episode. And they dropped a clue hinting Sarah Chalke is the mother but with all the false alarms this show has had, I'm not gonna get too cozy with that idea yet. But don't dare anyone spoil it if the mother has been revealed!!

I freakin LOVE this show. I can't believe it hasn't started to climb the ratings faster. Best episodes of the show so far...

Finished all 3 seasons last night.

So far the most disappointing (actually, maybe the ONLY disappointing) thing about the show was the season 3 cliffhanger. My brother and I both screamed "WhaT??? Come ON!!!" when it happened, heh.

I'm actually really intrigued by the Barney/Robin angle, especially in the finale.

NPH is hosting SNL this Saturday, as a heads up.
