Like everyone here, I see about 300 movies a year. In the past 10 years doing so, I've explored a lot of cinema, but sadly it has usually been from the last 20-30 years.
As a deep and utter sacrifice to my viewing habits, I'm going to shave off all the shit in 2009 (like chick flicks that get horrible reviews and Martin Lawrence films) and immerse myself in classics and foreign (usually both). I pledge to fill my deep gaping knowledge of Hitchcock and Truffaut and Fassbinder and Fellini.
This is my movie resolution of 2009. It will make me less knowledgeable about the landscape of film in 2009. But that's something I think I no longer care about anyway.
