I thought it was a good episode. Didn't like it as much as 2x06 or 2x07, but it was better than all the other Season two episodes. I especially liked the fact that Kirsten knows about Ryan and Lindsay's relationship, so that should free those characters to do something else other than hide it from her.
I also love Sandy and Kirsten, and any time they are featured prominently in an episode (without an ex threatening their relationship) it's good times. I didn't realize it was a setup at the Bait Shop until the very last moment, good on them.
Everyone else - kinda meh. I still don't care about Zach and Summer, I can't really care about Seth and Alex knowing where that leads and I still hate Marissa and am glad DJ is gone. Next week's episode looks amazing though. Can't wait.

That was really Peter Gallagher.
Anywho, episode last night was 'aight. Not nearly as good as the last two episodes, but i'm glad season two is finally starting to hit it's stride. The first couple of weeks were terrible. A couple of random thoughts:
I wish Marissa would die or something. She's seriously one of the most annoying characters in TV history. Why does everything have to be a cataclysmic event with her? At least DJ is (hopefully) gone. What a waste of space his character was.
I really like Alex and Lindsay. It's rare when new characters don't drag a show down, let alone lift it up.
I hate Zach, though. The guy has no personality.
Is it just me, or does Summer get more and more annoying with every episode?
Seth, Ryan, Sandy, and Kirsten are still the lifeblood of the show. Like AgentX said, whenever an episode focuses on Sandy and Kirsten, it's normally good. I'm glad we're done with the whole "Bad Seth" thing. Seth is the best character on the show as is. He doesn't need a "story" going.

Yay! The series finally started yesterday in Germany with an awesome pilot by Doug Liman. Unfortunately the ratings were a disappointment. Here's hoping this fantastic series won't be cancelled early...

The preview really played up the whole missing Lindsay story and it was way over the top. Does anyone believe that Ryan would just walk away from a drunk girlfriend by the water? This is Ryan, who saved Marissa 8 times last year and Theresa a couple times. That part was just too unbelievable.
Ryan yelling at Marissa was also not as satisfying as it should have been. Partly because, it was Lindsay's fault. Sure Marissa initially offered the alchohol, but Lindsay was the one who asked for the flask and continued to down it. I didn't see any great peer pressure from Marissa. Since they all apologized I wonder if this incident will be brought up in the future, probably not because we will be knee deep in the romance of Alex and Marissa for the foreseeable future.
The rest of the episode I was kind of indifferent towards. The 6 month anniversary of Zach and Summer, Seth and his adventures (although the whole boys night in thing was funny). I also liked the adult story with Julie's magazine but then I tend to like most of the adult story lines.
I didn't mind this episode, but it didn't interest me the way the previous three or four did. Oh well, can't win them all.

I really kind of liked the chemistry between Alex and Marissa at the end.. I think her character would become somewhat more interesting if she became a lesbian. I doubt it'll play out for a long time, but.. still. She needs something because Marissa is the worst O.C. character.
I didn't much care for the whole Summer/Zach thing. I've never liked them as a couple, and I hope this Alex/Marissa thing gets Summer and Seth back together, since they were my favorite couple of the first season.
I love Julie. She's my favorite adult, and I just love to see her acting like the bitch that she is. It's just so.. gratifying.

The last episode with lindsey getting drunk was a huge dissapointment for me. The episode was not needed. The only thing needed was at the end with marisa and alex and that was it. They put in a weak storyline to build up to it. I mean what kind of guy would leave his girlfriend by the water when shes drunk and she wanted to go in before. All of a sudden he decides to leave her and get some food. Is he an idiot. No man in the right mind would do that to his girlfriend. The thing with SUmmer and Zach has not been 6 months or whatever they say it is because 6 months would be in july and the season didnt start until november or whatever and summer wouldnt get over the guy she loved in one month because seth left at the end of may andz zach and summer started dating in the beginning of july.

Good episode tonight, with some solid foundations laid for future story lines. Well aside from yet another attempt at messing up Kirsten and Sandy - why do they feel the need to do that? Can't they have ONE stable relationship on the show? Guess not.
I liked the hostile interaction with Ryan and Caleb, we didn't see a lot of that first season and I'm glad they are addressing it. Ryan is at his best when there's something dramatic going on in his life, and there just hasn't been enough drama in his life this season. Poor Lindsay though, that's gotta be rough.
I really enjoyed the comic book meetings, especially since they brought Summer and Seth closer together at the end, I do like where this is heading and hopefully they build upon it in future episodes. Zzzach is a non-entity to me at this point. He just seemed like a hinderance to Summer and Seth, and now with Summer losing patience I don't know what his character will be.
Kirsten and Sandy - don't mess with them.
Alex and Marissa, I'm wondering how much time elapsed since the last episode because they certainly got very chummy since then. I didn't hate Marissa when dealing with Alex, so that's a plus. Considering that relationship may have legs. I wonder how Julie will react to Marissa's choice of partner. She didn't look too kindly on Ryan nor on DJ. Perhaps third time post luke will be lucky.

I'm about half way through last week's episode, I'm not impressed. This season is all over the place, it has good episodes and it has some average ones as well.

this episode sucked. So many ludacrois things happened. Sandy, of all people, cheated on his wife. A Grandfather and grandson played pool to get acceptance for girlfriend/daughter. Who the hell does that? I want to see Seth & Summer get back together and they keep advertising like they are going to but its not going to happen. It's pissing me off.

First time I watched in quite a long time. Not a terrible show, but it isn't as addictive as the first six episodes in Season 1, which are the only full episodes I ever watched.
