If I am to tell the truth Jedi has always been closest to my heart out of all Star Wars movies. What can I say? I have a soft spot for it.

Your list is cool. I didn't notice you were doing this!
Lots of classics, some underseen gems (Stage Door), and some head-scratchers (Death Becomes Her? All those LOTRS?).
Best of all...Herr Lubitsch!
I'll confess to not being a big fan of Philadelphia Story, besides that amazing cast.

Death Becomes Her makes me laugh like very few movies do. I can see how one could find it obnoxious, but I love it!
I'm kinda getting tired of adding quotes and comments under each title, is it ok if I just list them from here on? If it seems so lazy of me I apologize but it's hard to really say something that amounts to much in one sentence or two.

 Re: KJ User's Top 100 Lists Vol.2 - MovieGeek
I think adding a line for why you love a film is great. Everyone generally loves a common list of films, but people may love them for different reasons.
I am happy to see someone else Enjoys the Beauty of Gattaca.
Someone accused me of hating all new films and being a slave to Nostalgia. Imo recent Classics like Gattaca are numerous in my top 100 and I would like to see more films like these being made.

So right away I had to say, 'You play well.' Oh, oh God Annie. Well. Oh well. La-dee-dah. La-dee-dah. La-la. Yeah. Alvy: You want a lift? Annie: Oh, why? Uh, you got a car? Alvy: No, I was going to take a cab. Annie: Oh, no. I have a car. Alvy: You have a car? I don't understand. If you have a car, so then why did you say, 'Do you have a car?' like you wanted a lift? Annie: I don't, I don't, geez, I don't know. I wasn't....I got this VW out there. (to herself) What a jerk, yeah. Would you like a lift? Alvy: Sure. Which way you goin'? Annie: Me? Oh, downtown. Ooo yay! This list just took a very positive turn. Except #12 should be at least 11 spots higher, but that's okay.

Job well done. Well, thanks!! I hope the last 10 choices don't ruin it for you. I'll be posting those tomorrow I guess, I'm off to see Australia tonight.

The Lion in Winter is imo a great film and the performances are just amazing from Peter O'Toole and Katherine Hepburn.
Surprised Peter O'Toole was able to act and look so big and tough considering he is so skinny at that time.
About all about eve....
People say BW is old and it sucks but imo All About Eve, Sunset Blvd, Casablanca and Psycho clearly shows its greatness.
When I watched All about Eve and Sunset Blvd, I was blown away how beautiful these films can be in BW.

Also, great list junio. I don't necessarily agree with all your choices, but your list is suitably varied and shows you have great taste.

Was I saying Black and White is better? I was simply saying that I use to think BW films use to be "crappy" and could not show beauty/emotion at all. Those films changed my view completely... That is what I said, what is Snobbish about that is beyond me...

It's not at all snobbish, it's merely stupid to think that black and white "could not show beauty/emotion".
