whoa there, daredevlet, lets not get crazy here. it was just a thought. I said "I [ think]"...not 'I have a well reasoned hypothesis complete with examples and charts.' (Mostly I just think Shack and Dark Shape have very similar applications and should both be accepted or denied as one. But I'm sure you have made other mistakes, too. :O )

 Re: The KJ snob/elitist club
The only way to have a truly snobby club is to have everyone in said club attacking everyone else's picks. After all, you're snobs. Be aggressively snobbish.

Shack didn't include Overrated-Animated-POS-That-Shall-Not-Be-Named. That's more than enough for me to say 'yay' for him.

If this was a true uber snob club it would be makeshift/trix/kypade/yoshue/snack/Argos/xGuybrushx - the end. I'm closer to Gulli and PoJon and loyal. But we're still "people who matter"

I feel argumentative-ish. makeshift attacked me (snobbishly!) for including Cloverfield, The Dark Knight, Forgetting Sarah Marshall, and Hellboy II in my top ten... but according to this post, he himself ranks them as #12, #13, #14, and #15, respectively.

 Re: The KJ snob/elitist club
The idea of this society wasn't to alienate as many people as possible and have a five man group where nothing could get done.
I'm trying to assemble a group of people with similar tastes and views, who care about movies and are interested in building an alternative here at KJ to the normal avalanche of mediocrity celebrating crap we are inundated with on a daily basis. I'm also hoping it will spur interesting discussion, and maybe even convince people that otherwise wouldn't be interested in something like this to check out different movies.

Two things: It's alphabetical order. They are all still in *** territory, just a hair above the middling middle.

The trouble is that the people you'll inevitably collect are the ones who already do that. You, Loyal, trix... you already seek out films that are outside the mainstream. Those with very mainstream tastes probably wouldn't be interested in this group to begin with.
