movie is kindof fading for me....

It's almost too cute, in that the obviously heartwarming and candy-coated tone of the stories crosses over into the film itself. If the 'real world' of the film had been shown to be more realistic and down-to-earth, I would've appreciated this film a lot more as something of a critique of the traditional romcom, instead of merely a conventional one. Ah well.

It's a movie that's sat better than me than it probably should've. There's clearly a lot formulaic and "plastic" problems about it, but I guess as fluff it's likeable and warm enough.

I thought it was pretty bad, actually. The narrative gymnastics that set up this cutesy little storytelling gimmick are simply too much.

Beyond that, the story is, frankly, boring, and Ryan Reynolds still seems incapable of carrying a movie on his shoulders.

The bright spot, the thing that will keep you awake? Isla Fisher. Yeah, dawg, she's got energy and charisma to spare.

The movie is a bit of a mess. The storytelling doesn't quite work, but the overall result is slightly charming and a different romcom. This is mostly because of actors. They were pretty good compared to most of the other romantic comedies cast.
