Have to say I'm surprised by the relative success of that show. Considering other such remakes (i.e. Bionic Woman, Coupling) have performed terribly, this is all the more surprising.

Knight Rider currently performs just as Bionic performed at the end of its life. Sure Knight Rider has been prety steady in these 4 episodes it aired unlike Bionic that fell hard from its premiere, but it was stabilized in the end at the same levels.

This only shows how lowered the standards have got for NBC. I can't imagine Bionic being any more expensive than Knight Rider so the relative comparison of cost/ratings for both shows are pretty much the same.

"King of the Hill" won't be renewed after the episode order (13 this season) is done.

Can't believe it's finally ending. It should have been canned years ago.

So American Dad moves to 7:30 to midseason? It looks like Fox will be airing both The Cleveland Show and Class Dismissed (Sit Down, Shut Up).

I can't believe King of the Hill is ending. Hopefully FX keeps the re-runs on the air for a long time.

Samantha Who? got a full season pick-up. Though not a 22 episode order, but a shorter 20 episode order. Apparently ABC thinks that they have too many 30 minute shows on the bench. Ummm, they didn't get a memo that they suck at comedies lately - ratings wise at least? 2 episodes isn't that much, but they need stability considering they have problems up and down their schedule.

What? It's ratings have been terrible this season. I was expecting the opposite effect.

NBC picked up Knight Rider. Which is more expensive and both get the same ratings. So a pick-up for Kath & Kim isn't that much of a surprise.

The pick-ups so far this season have been...odd to say the least. A lot of shows that I expected to get canceled immediately were among the first to get full seasons.

Anyways, the struggling CW series "Valentine" and "Easy Money" have both been officially canceled:

And "'Til Death" looks like its getting axed as well:

Sucks about Valentine. It was an entertaining show. Easy Money was dull though. And 'Til Death has been terrible thus far this season so good riddance.

Is this even a surprise? The Simpsons expected to be on-air for three more years:

You know Fox will want to break Gunsmoke's record. Not in how many episodes though - they've got a lot more to go to surpass Gunsmoke.

Does 3 more years break the record?

No I think they're tied right now (20 seasons), so season 21 would be the breaker. I think.

The only one that surprises me is Ugly Betty. Heroes, Prison Break and Office were always destined for late night.

Aussies tend to watch reality shows (for a good decade and a half) and all these clone crime dramas. Exceptions are your hit comedies like Two and Half Men and dramas like DH. Aussie commercial TV isnt in a good state really. But then again US product hasnt been great of late.

no but Australians are watching 2.5 Men repeats by the bucket load.

and i'm so sick of all the docu-drama shit. Animals, terrorists, lifeguards, police, holidays, family reunions is a bit too much. and i'm watching more ABC and SBS more than ever now.

i think shows like CSI and Law & Order can afford to wait until the traditional February to start a new season, but 7s US shows really need to air basically the next night. i'm happy Aussie dramas are doing well again, but i don't want to lose the US stuff either.
