All excellent picks. I have a Graduate story! I love the song Too Funky by George Michael, and he always has a section with voice-over of a woman saying "Would you like me to seduce you? Is that what you're trying to tell me?" But I'd not seen the graduate so I though Michaels made this up and went around for years thinking how genius he was. When I finally saw the Graduate maybe 4 years ago, when Bancroft says the line, it was one of the oddest experiences to me. The sudden realization that Michaels was sampling from a moive. Also, have you seen the episode of the Simpsons when Homer's dad wants to marry? Haha!
In the Bedroom was excellent except for the last 10 minutes, which suddenly made what was an interesting movie about a family falling apart at the seems under the pressure of losing a son, and instead turned it into something surreal, or fictional. I don't know, it just kind of didn't work with the entire rest of the movie.
