Comeon guys, as you can see , there are many categories that are still waiting for one of you to show them some love, and present them as only you can at the awards ceremony. 15 are left, by my count. This is a lot of fun for everybody involved, so don't be shy. Here are the categories that still need a presenter.

Best Supporting Actress
Best Ensemble
Best Editing
Best Art Direction
Best Costume Design
Best Score
Best Sound
Best Song
Best Makeup
Best Breakthrough Performance
Best Animated Feature
Best Sequel/Remake
Best Overlooked Film
Best Soundtrack
Entertainer of the Year

Listen, I won't offer to do any more of them now in case people have particular choices. If it gets to be two days before the awards and some of them aren't covered, send me a pm and I'll do announcements for what's left over. I can't guarantee all of them will be as loving and spectacular as my foreign write-up, but that's cause I really have no idea about such things as sound and editing in comparison to my vast knowledge of subtitled features such as Bad Education, Moolaade, and Motorcycle Diaries.

*hehe, I promise one of these days I'll stop the shameless plugging, but that will probably be at 10 am on Feb. 17th*

I'm sure they'll fill up before the show date, but thank you very much for the help you've given, and if they don't fill up, I'll help you write them up. On top of hosting, and writing one myself, and counting votes, and trying to help keep things organized, it would be cold hearted of the regulars here to sit back and watch me have to do even more.

*slips out to go edit the first post in hopes that my guilt trip worked*

Galia...

I downloaded Bad Education, bu none of the subtitles I can find online match up with the copy I have. I've watched a couple of minutes of it in Spanish, and it seems amazing. The opening credits are stunning. Hopefully I can track down some good subtitiles.

Damn makeshift, you're the greatest ever! I can't believe someone is actually listening to one of my recommendations. Have I ever told you how awsome you are? I'm sure I have, but regardless I'll say it again. I have no idea how to go about getting good subtitles because I've never downloaded a movie, but at this point I'm practically willing to learn Spanish, fly over to Ashland, and translate it for you directly.

yeah about the opening credits, they're already gripping, and that music should definately have gotten a best score nod at the oscars...come to think about it, everything about this movie should have gotten nods at the oscars. That's ok, I have faith that WorldofKJ will give it much more lovin' since I consider so many people here to have good movie taste.

Oh, Galia. You are too sweet.

I finally found some subs that match up, so i'll be watching it sometime this weekend. Yeah, the music is incredible. It's very film noirish. From what i've seen so far, the film seems really Lynchian, which is always cool. Can't wait to watch it.

makeshift...what are yout alking about with subs and everything?

I'm interested. I'd love to download it b/c there's no way I'll find the time and opportunity (to sneak in) in the next month...

I don't need subs (I know Spanish well) but I'd like to have 'em, I guess.

Well, I downloaded the movie with BitTorrent and it came with a subtitles file, but they didin't match up with what was happening on screen, so I had to go to all the different subtitles sites and find ones that matched. Google is an indispensable tool when dealing with problems like this.

http://bittorrent.com/ - BitTorrent

http://www.torrentspy.com/search.asp?qu ... submit.y=0 - Movie Download

http://divxstation.com/searchsubtitles. ... mit=Search - Subs that actually work.

Also, you need BSPlayer to watch the film with subtitles.

Good luck.

BTW - bABA or Eagle, if you have guys have a problem with this post, just lemme know and i'll take it down.

I will mark you down for it.

xiayun and matatonio, I'll be compiling all of the member names who have sent ballots in the first post, and listing them in alphabetical order so everybody (all members) can see who has voted, and we (the vote counters) can all be on the same page as far as what ballots we should have. I'll get that done tonight, so if you see any that you don't have, or you see someone not listed that you do have, let me know.

Ok, matatonio and xiayun, I've listed the ballots that I have in the first thread. If you guys don't have somebody listed, PM me, and I'll send it to you. If you don't see somebody listed that you have a ballot from, send it to me, and I'll add them to our list.

I don't know if anyone has said this yet, but I greatly appreciate all of your work to get all of this done and the awards running. Same to xiayun, and matatonio. I know it's a lot of work to keep people updated, collect and count ballots, get people signed up for presenting, working out dates, etc. etc. So, thanks! :) :)

Also, even though you guys have only a few ballots so far, I have no doubt that a surge of ballots will come in later on, probably on the last few days, as so many people are just making sure they have seen all the films possible before sending in ballots. You probably already have guessed that, just stating the obvious, lol.

PEACE, Mike ;)

Thanks, Mike, nobody had thanked us yet.  11 ballots are in so far, and I fully expect a surge within the next 2 weeks as well. I'll be sending my ballot in as soon as I see Finding Neverland and The Aviator this coming weekend.

Still need some presenters, as there are spots still open.

Ok, if nobody else wants to take one of those, you can have them both. I already put you down for adapted screenplay, but if you would rather change to one of those, I'll change it, and if nobody else takes them by the time the nomination voting is closed, you can have them if you still want them.

Thanks for the helping hand, all of you. Let's do our best to make this awards show blow away any that we've ever had in the past!

Adaptation is great. I would like those two in addition, if no one else wants them.

I'll be Bruce Vilanch for a day. Minus the copious body hair and gay sex.
