Question on Batman - as I just saw it for the second time - this time on Imax? Maybe some questions have been answered but I don't feel like reading these 60 pages.

- Did the Joker want to die at the end of Batman - when Batman was riding at him with the motorcycle > The Joker kept saying, hit me but Batman passed by him.

- Did the Joker tell Batman the wrong locations - as didn't Batman say he was going for the girl.

- Was the Scarecrow killed in the van??? Did Batman crush him when he jumped in the parking garage.

- Guess we don't know the Joker back story yet - as he told the story of his up-growing 3 different ways.

- With Health gone will we see the Joker again - or will they do a scarecrow, bring him back quickly to kill.

- and if Health had lived, I am guessing, the joker might have been brought back for a longer time.

end......

1. Yes, the Joker wants Batman to kill him, which would break Batman's one rule (not killing). If you noticed, the Joker was laughing when Batman threw him off the building at the end of the movie, but Batman saves him and he's actually disappointed by the fact that he doesn't get to have the last laugh on Batman.

2. Yes, the Joker intentionally gave Batman the wrong locations because he knew Batman would go after Rachel.

3. No, Scarecrow was not killed. There's a quick shot of Batman talking to Scarecrow and the wannabe Batman vigilantes sitting against the parking garage wall. He pulls the mask off Scarecrow and Scarecrow makes a quip, "That's not my diagnosis" in reference to whether Batman is crazy or not. Scarecrow is alive and probably in Arkham Asylum or prison for the rest of the movie.

4. The Joker intentionally lied about his backstory.

Thanks.....

and yes I remember seeing the doctor againist the wall but I wasn't sure it was him....

 I'm 100% sure it said "grave." And not only did Ledger change/improvise his lines in the pencil and the lines leading up to it, including:
"Do you think you can just take our money and get away with it?"
"yeah."

but he also did the "Hi" at the hospital with Dent, certain lines when he crashed the party, and at least two other scenes I can't remember exactly. Did we read the same thing? :funny:

I finally saw TDK in IMAX. It was my second viewing and my GF and our friend's first. So it was fantastic for me to intro more people to this film. My only gripe is we were sitting too close so it got a little dizzy but you pick up so much more the second time. There were even scenes i swear i never saw the first time  I think I couldnt enjoy it as much the first time because I was too excited.

I read "The Dark Knight: Featuring Production Art and Full Shooting Script." And pretty much all searching of "Harvey Dent DEAD script" backs me up.

If the script is to be believed, Dent is dead as dead is dead.

You've got the proof. Man, maybe this is one of those cases where you dream something and remember it as being real, or maybe I just willed the words on paper to form into the word "grave." Really really weird, I'm so retarded.

I didn't really like this movie that much. The Joker was OK but after a while I found myself wishing that he'd just go away. There was no originality about him other than the funky makeup...and Heath Ledger didn't really do justice to him. See my image of a crazy lunatic is someone who evokes fear into you by just by looking at them. When I looked at the joker I thought he was a gender confused ape....like it was just over the top. We call this entertainment? sheesh. And batman seemed to realistic. This is a superhero movie...come on. Fly to other planets or something. I don't want to see you eating dinner and talkinga about emotions. That's just my 2 cents though. I hope we get to see Batman get a littlre more wild in the next installment...and a less laughable villian. Maybe like a transformer robot or something. That's what all the kids are talking about these days.

We've seen it, I think, at the same time.

I thought it was great, but I really need to see it for a second time in German. I wasn't really able to appercieve the whole movie. I also, and I gotta stay true, I didn't understand some plot things in English. Maybe that's embarassing, but I'm just honest.

I also think that a lot of people in America (outside of this forum), didn't get the whole movie and just said it was great.

Post Re: The Dark Knight
The Dark Knight is all about quality, one of those sequels that surpass its predecessor, one of the best comic book movies ever made, judging from script aspect, great direction from Christopher Nolan, and of course an amazing rare performances we've gonna see in lifetime by Heath Ledger as the main Villain, THE JoKER, that'll blast you away of this galaxy.

Christian Bale once again is delivering a great performances, he can go deeper as BATMAN/Bruce Wayne character, i can't think of any other actor is more suitable for Batman. i can say his acting is better than Batman Begins, Bale is one of the soul who powered up this movie.

Aaron Eckhart is introduced asthe new character here, a heroic district attorney Harvey Dent, and Eckhart gives one of his best performances to date building up Dent's character. He transform from hero to villain in a convincing way, this will be a memorable performances by Aaron Eckhart.

Gary Oldman, Michael Caine, Morgan Freeman, plays their part very great, an absolutely solid A Class acting.

and of course not to forget the only women main character played by Maggie Gyllenhaal proves she's a more than adequate substitute for Katie Holmes as Rachel Dawes. She brings a lot to the film, especially as part of the love triangle with Wayne and Dent. In fact, Christopher Nolan does a fantastic job using such a large and talented cast and not wasting them in the least.

comes to the action part, the highlight is Hong Kong skycrapper stunning action sequence, a long chase sequence in the middle as Dent and Batman enact a daring plan to draw out and capture the Joker, and of course the climatic battle between Batman and the Joker.

What might be harder to adjust to and accept is that this is no longer Batman from the comics, keeping that concept firmly grounded in the reality created by the first movie. There's no real "Batcave" this time, just an empty floor in a building with a few computer monitors and diagnostic equipment, but that doesn't mean that all the cool gadgets have been put to the rest. Batman's "Tumbler" is replaced by an even wilder two-wheeled "Batpod" and the costume is retrofitted with an inventive sonar system that plays an interesting role in the climactic finale.

also have to add everything looks good in The Dark Knight, the music, production design, the story, etc. is just great. Christopher Nolan done the job brilliantly here. i really can't wait for the third charm and i hope it happens soon, WB executives should put Batman franchise on top priority. since the The Dark Knight position is standing on the runner-up spot in All Time Domestic Gross, which already making more than US$ 500 Million to date, a milestone limit that any other film never crossed before, i would be even more happier to see The Dark Knight taking Titanic's top spot, but it seems to be impossible to bring down Titanic's record for now.

anyway bottom line, i HAVE to say THE DARK KNIGHT is a summer high quality movie that zooming up to my high expectation, which is rarely happen, and only THE DARK KNIGHT can makes that happen, the best movie in 2008 receives a solid A+ grade.

Post Re: The Dark Knight
I don't know about you guys but I think the Joker is a homosexual. It all makes sense...it all comes together when you put the clues together. First of all...he wore makeup!! HELLO! The Joker is a human being MALE? right? Sooo. I just don't see why he needs to wear makeup. I've never seen a guy wear makeup before except for gay people. Well my brother had to wear some for this drama thing but that makes sense. The jocker was supposed to be a real villian...how could we take him seriously with all that makeup. He also had a bad relationship with his dear father....atleast i think he did. I kind of fell asleep in the movie (whoops!) but i heard that most gay people don't like theit fathers! ANOTHER clue. Oh and I think Heath Ledger was gay too. I know he never publically announced it...but 2 gay movies? come on he must be gay! He just has to be!!! Maybe that's why he killed himself?? Just a theory...i'm get side tracked. But that's what I think about the Jocker. And it would explain the success of TDK. I mean these days people are gay crazy. They just love the gays....and since the movie is about Batman it gives straight males a reason to see a gay movie. Of course they don't think this way....it's all subcionsious. What do you guys think? I can't come up for any other reason why people like this movie. It's just really bad. The scene where he was in the hospital made me want to throw up. I know the american health system is bad but gosh....this is just ridiculous.
