Re: The Killers 3rd Album
I've been listening to Sawdust a lot lately.
I think I like it more than the 2 actual records.

Why is Sawdust not counted as one of their albums? I remember it having a pretty quiet release

Re: The Killers 3rd Album
OOOH Cant wait to hear something from the new album. Love The Killers. If you get the chance to see them live - do it. Fantastic concert.
Ive been listening alot more to Sawdust lately and its grown on me substantially. Why its not listed as a 3rd album is probably because its a complilation of B sides and some songs that have been on the previous albums in some countries (like my version of Sam's Town has Where the White Boys Dance and Hot Fuss has Glamorous Indy rocknroll). But it certainly stands up as worthy 3rd album.

What do they sound like more - Hot Fuss or Sam's Town? Or something else? Spaceman is more like Hot Fuss as I feel it doesn't have that epic feel of Sam's Town. Neon Tiger has some of that epic feel. But I would say its somewhat of a mix right now. Its not a completely new sound, but its more of like a mix of the two albums. Ok a mix of the two albums would work for me. I dont know which one i like more sometimes. But I do prefer that epic feel. Thanks.

It was a great concert experience but....their live sound is a notch below the studio recording. Flowers doesn't have complete control of his vocals on stage and their sound system was a bit messy both times. Everyone I know seems to agree with mean. They're much better in the studio. I saw them live last year and heard the same as Magnus. But they were extremely good that night so I was impressed by them live Maybe it was the whole live atmosphere which helped. It may also depend on the venue. But the venue I saw them in (where the Oz open tennis is played) isnt renowed for the great accoustics). No doubt they are better in studio recordings though. As for the new songs - I like both - though have only listened once as i'd rather here the studio recorded versions.

Re: The Killers 3rd Album - Day and Age
Looks like Day and Age will come out November 25 in the U.S. and the first single will be "Human". 'Human', the first single, is a Pet Shop Boys-style synth-pop zoomer that should please fans of 'Mr Brightside'. http://www.guardian.co.uk/music/2008/sep/14/popandrock5

I like it. Not their best song, but it's a good listen.
I read somewhere that they said Mr. Brightside fans will be delighted with the new song. While there is something similar to Mr. B, Human is no where near the song Mr. B is.

Re: The Killers 3rd Album - Day & Age - Nov.25
Yeah I like it too though dont love it (yet). And its not as good as most of their previous songs. I think the link to Mr Brightside is via the Brightside Remix. The same guy who remixed that song has been involved with Human (and others on the album)
