wow. this is absolutely insane. That's far and away the record for highest grossing non-holiday monday. Second would be Dead Man's Chest with $18m. So... $200m in 5 days and $300m in 9 days?????

Without midnight, its Friday-to-Monday drop is only 50%; that's just freaking insane. Yeah, crunching the numbers, it could fall 15% all week, and still get a 53% drop this weekend. If even one day is less than that though, it'll be breaking that 50% threshold. Fucking insane.

TDKS 182 4 day is 10 million better than the now extinct previous 5 day total record (sith 172) These records, in terms of opening week, 4, 5,6, 7, 8, 9, 20, day grosses, ect are going to stand for like, decades.

That's just... astounding. Holy crap. I really hope it keeps this up, the BO hasn't been this interesting in forever. Just hope that SO many people seeing it in its first week doesn't negatively affect its second weekend. If it can hold well then, the sky's the limit.

Theres a poll on BOM, about first choice this weekend, and TDK is killing both X-Files and Step brothers with 64%. People will be going again.

Top 5 non-holiday Mondays:
1. The Dark Knight - $24.49 million 2. Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest - $18.14 million 3. Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith - $14.35 million 4. Shrek 2 - $11.51 million 5. Spider-Man - $11.03 million
And if wanted to get really technical, #3 and #4 had Canadian holidays.
This...just...how????

Holy shit, it could touch like 315-320 mil after 10 days. 10 fucking days!
I can't believe a 500 mil film is finally here. We'd all said it'd be years until something even has the chance to challenge Titanic... The Dark Knight is fucking here!
