 Polls
after entering the review forum quite frequently over the past few days, it's become clear that people are voting Fs for some of the new releases, and i would really like to know who these people are.
Mamma Mia has 2 Fs and no one has owned up to it. TDK also has a D i think.
i just wanted to know if anything is being done to have that thing back when u can tell who voted? i mean vandalism and trolling is nothing new, but at least we could pinpoint it the problem.

 Re: Polls
that feature, just like the quick reply feature, is a phpbb change. they will be considered for addition once a decision is taken to modify phpbb code .. which from last i heard, is something that will be happening quite shortly.

 Re: Polls
Read the reviews, ignore the poll, and feel all nice and fuzzy.

 Re: Polls
I love how people only complain about this when it happens to a hugely hyped film with the predisposition to be universally loved, even though fake poll grades happen in every movie.

 Re: Polls
I think that people avoiding spoilers should avoid the forum altogether. Can see general opinion in other threads such as crowd reports, or perhaps even make new thread asking for non-spoilerific opinions.

 Re: Polls
nebs remember that thing we tried to do with Wall-E?
I made a test thread and its possible to remove a single grade only.
Delete the option only, sumbit, edit and enter it back in. Worked for me right now.

 Re: Polls
Still does not work for me. Deleted C option in the thread in WC, submited, and whole poll reseted itself (now with 4 options, and none of the options with votes - before there was also an A together with that C). But it's all moot now, as I really do not wish to alter polls anyway, nor would I want staff to do that. It's just how it is, popular movies will get fake grades here, like they get in prolly every poll about them online.
Now, who's up for "Remove polls from Everyone's A Critic forum" campaign? :=)

 Re: Polls
I honestly dont see a problem. If you look at the Wall-E thread and see 70...SEVENTY As and one C? Maybe even an F? Yr not gonna think "wow, this movie must have sucked." It's going to be obvious, just as it will be obvious with TDK, that the forum loved the film. If you then go on to read the thread and find no one with a D review, you can just further ignore it. The only time fake grades would really make a difference is if there are only a few votes - but then, you dont really know if they're fake, (unless its like, 8 As and one F, maybe). I guess it also matters for those "KJ's Best Rated" threads, but that's pretty slight. And Box (or whoever does it) can just remove the grade when calculating, in that case). I dunno, it just seems a very unimportant thing to worry about to me.

 Re: Polls
Lets just imagine it was BKB. That anyway feels right, and doesn't matter if he didn't actually do it.

 Re: Polls
So, I graded a movie...didn't feel so good about the grade. Can I edit it? Or will my posted grade now forever be carved in the annals of WOKJ?
