I've made a strange observation today.

9 new accounts have been created on Tuesday, July 8th of 2008. Which is really by far the most amount of new members in one day in almost an entire YEAR. 6 of which were only on for 3 minutes or less. And more last minute votes in Getluv's thread keep getting cast?

It's awfully suspicious, and I know Getluv cares for nothing but the integrity of his battle thread....

I'm only thinking of him. I think it should be well looked into.

None of the new members are double accounts/existing members.

Nebs and I will look into it but I dont there were many accounts created during the past few days

if double votes are suspected, said person will be disqualified and replaced.

If there were "double accounts" involved, I doubt it's one of the contestants. That would just be really, really dumb and obvious of them.

I was under the impression that you couldn't check someone's IP until they made a post. A vote in a poll doesn't count as a post, no?

Anyways, I also thought about mentioning some suspicious voting patterns earlier on, but decided it as coincidence and decided it would be a doucheprick thing to bring up. But anyways

In the Mav vs Groucho thread, Groucho was winning like 18 to 5. I checked shortly after and it was something like 20 to 15. Mav got no more votes from that point on and it ended like 28 to 15. (I can't check the exact results because getluv changed the first post)

In the Site vs Corpse's Private forum, the Site was winning like 9-0, and then the next time I checked it was 11-10 for The Site. Corpse's forum got no more votes from that point and lost like 18-10.

In the me vs Corpse matchup, she easily had the most votes of anyone in the first round (not counting the second chance draw), including something like 23 by 2 in the afternoon the first day, when there'd only been like 2 people from each side saying who they voted for.

And on the note of the second place draw, I was up at like 3 in the morning last night, and as far as I know the results looked something like this

Box/Ripper - 9
Lecter/Snrub/Diesel/Mr. X/Libs - 7
Munk/loyal/bABA - 4
Shack - 3
Levy - 0

With different people being scattered in between. Now I know getluv let the thing run another night, but would it make sense for the votes to literally triple on the second day of the battle, when clearly the thread had been booming all day long and most people had seen it? It would've made much more sense for the top guys to end up more around 15 votes, not 25.

I'm not pointing any fingers... just droning.

Looking under their profiles, none of which were filled out, you can see most of them only stayed on the forum a very short while and about half of them only 3 minutes between when they signed up and when they left the site.

I was still able to check the ip of new users even with theres no posts. We didnt get that many registered users either and even then they were all unique. Must be someone with alot of friends

Yeah we can still check. I really found nothing... scandalous lol. I mean, none of them are say, Jailbird.
