Radio station pulls show over tsunami slur.
http://www.cnn.com/2005/SHOWBIZ/TV/01/2 ... index.html
And i thought that this kind of thing only happened in red states, but it shows you racist assholes are out there weather they are liberal, conservitive, white, black or whatever.
The song can be found here:

that is awful. the city was so ticked even moments after it occurred. I think in the end they will be fired, or at least thats the buzz.
I'm all for crass humor, but that is just morbid & sickening. Yet another reason I wont listen to the radio in nyc..

First of all, the use of a  does not make allowances for you (a non American) to take a shot at my countrymen in such a generalizing way. You have a track record of insulting groups of people as a whole, and this is just a perfect example of how you still didn't learn your lesson about your gay comments. That  is just your excuse to do it and try to pass it off as "I was only joking. Geez...lighten up."
The jokes are only there to mask your hateful comments, and I would strongly suggest that you keep such comments to yourself in the future. You, of all people, don't need to offer comments about anybody having issues.

I don't want to see any "light hearted banter" from Algren that's directed at groups of people. He's destroyed any chance with me to accept it as anything but a hateful comment, so he needs to keep his mouth shut.

people rip on americans all the time, people rip on us british. Its different if it were a racial slur or a homophobic slur again i cud see where u r comin from. But i think that that was a jokey comment not meant to influct ne lasting damager on american people. I mean if u get offended by silly comments like that then what the hell is the world coming to!

Algren's history does not lend itself to my making anymore allowances for his "silly comments". He needs to keep it zipped.

You know what the sad part is? My girlfriend said she heard it because they played it on television and on the radio. Here's a prime example why the media sucks. We don't need to hear the damn thing again and again.

I am shocked that they found a group of people who actually thought it would be funny to do this song, let alone a group that works together on a morning radio show.

it's sick humor, yes. but come on! how seriously hippocritical has this freakin' country become?!?!?!
can't we not laugh at evils of the world without making a silly stink about it? you know, the fact that it is soooooo repulsive has now made this be very popular. if people would just giggle, say "that's mean", and moved on with their lives, then it wouldnt be such a big deal..

No....thousands of people lost their lives. Thousands of people lost ther sons, daughters, mothers and fathers. It is not something to joke about. Should we make jokes about the poeple who died in the twin towers? Should we make jokes about the poeple jumping out of the windows?
If your mom were to die in a car crash, or get raped and murdered should I joke about that?
That seriously has to be one of the most disgusting things I have ever heard sam... [-(
