I joined the under $50 mil club over a week ago! After reviewing the market and trends in the industry I predicted $58 mil. No different than what you do.

I made mine on Saturday. Sorry. Uh...no. Just a few days ago, you were calling for a disappointment. It's okay, I've done the thinking for quite a few people here during my time. Everybody was at 40 until I mentioned the possibility of it outdoing the original. That was WAY before Sunday, if you want to get technical. You suck at this stuff, which is why you realize you need to let others think for you. Your predictions being all over the place prove that. Try to have more self respect.

Well, LITW did. And Shymalan's films aren't exactly increasing in pedigree.
Looks like my $45 million prediction for Hulk was low-balling. But by how much?

Signs didn't: +3% TCM03 didn't +1.3% The Hills Have Eyes didn't +9% Vacancy: +4.7% The hitcher 2007 +21%
There are plenty of horror films that increase.

There are plenty of horror films that increase. The smaller the opening, the bigger the increase, usually. Since The Happening is going to open big it seems, less likely of an increase. The R-rating differentiates it from M. Night's previous films.

Re: Yahoo Review Thread - Hulk, The Happening
Hopefully it cracks 20 million.
I watched it and I will give it a 7.5/10
I thought action rocked, sfx was awesome, norton was very good, liv tyler was ok, Tim Roth was solid but it seems like some scenes of his was edited, William Hurt was solid too but again bunch of stuff was edited, Music was great.
Like I mentioned I had problems with the editing of the movie. It felt like they were trying to bring the next action scene so it felt a bit rushed. I am gonna definitely get the DVD or Blu ray to see 70 minutes of unseen footage.

Re: Yahoo Review Thread - Hulk, The Happening
Hulk- 3095
Happening- 1548
I really can't see Hulk below $20 mil. I'd say a 150 ratio sounds right
Happening can pull off a 100-ish ratio for $15 mil... but I think it's probably around 120... so about $11 mil
