Voting for the TV awards ends this Sunday, in three little days. I would hope people would be able to co-exist with two different award shows running, especially when one of them ends in just a matter of days. The voting process for this won't even begin until after the 4th, anyway.

was that "reference" to the PMs in the PM really necessary??
In spite of that, I will have my ballot in. Soon!

I lost interest in these awards a long time ago. How come last year was so bad? You probably should rename them the water cooler clique awards, though, as that's more representative of what it really is.

Re: 2008 1/2 KJ Poster Awards (Nomination Ceremony)
Wow, some of you lost interest in the awards? Does someone pay you for these profound thoughts? That's the only reason why you'd think anyone wants to know that you don't care. It would be different if you had suggestions to make the awards more exciting. Nobody can take anything from "I've lost interest in these awards".
Seriously, if you don't want to participate, why bother posting in the thread? We don't need to know your every move and every action. Can we find out when you're having dinner tonight too? You want to participate, good. If not, there are thousands of other threads on the forum.

I'll take the "banish to the island" award
Actually I think there's a good chance the same person wins both the island ones (Corpse)

Agreed, and since I have the acid tech background, the blue text is unreadable without highlighting, so this is a non-issue for me. And as I said in the other thread, if you are not interested in an awards show, just ignore it, I ignored these last time and didn't feel the need to through a loyal movie awards hissy fit about it, so far he's the only pull off the hissy fit well people, do it right or STFU.

Meh. I think it's valid to question why one would decide to do these awards again so soon after there was such little attention paid the last time. Shortest poster awards ceremony thread ever.

For someone who's lost so much interest in the awards, you're taking a mighty big interest in posting about it. If I lose interest in something, I tend to let it go.

Again, why do these awards, which are hosted by a messageboard that has a large and very active awards season forum, not include Awards poster awards for individuals like they include individual box office accolades? I've never understood that. You guys are complaining about people who have lost interest not adding anything. I mentioned this right away when this thread started, and Krem commented, but nobody else bothered, and the guys running the awards didn't do anything about it, or even address why they didn't. It's easy to lose interest like that.

The next ceremony should include them, : )

Re: 2008 1/2 KJ Poster Awards (Nomination Ceremony)
So, juju, you're gonna call the last KJ Awards Show a bore (at the time of the Awards show 6 months ago, and again, a few times, in this very thread) basically, cause we didn't say little paragraphs and stuff about each category when we presented the awards, but it's fine for you to say next to jack shit at the TV Awards, and in some instances you said one little line when presenting it? It's fine for your Award Show to be skimpy on the presentation, but it's awful and boring for ours? That's pretty cuntrod of you, but I should really let you know I expect no less from you. I know this will get me absolutely no fans (especially among the Skype group), but I don't really care about my social standing at this very moment.
I just gotta say, that's pretty damn hypocritical, jujubeetch. So I hope you don't mind if I call the TV Awards show a bore, cause it was no better, and no different, than the Poster Awards Ericka and I hosted in January that you oh so hated, and have made positively sure Corpse and I knew you didn't like. So now you know I wasn't a fan of the TV Awards show this evening, for the same reason you weren't a fan of the '07 KJ Poster Awards in Jan. I know our efforts weren't great, but don't pretend yours was any better. A D+ to our D. And this post is the last time I'm gonna say that, I'm not gonna be a twat and keep saying it over and over when you don't wanna hear it. I'm not you.

That big tirade aside, the big problem here is that KJ is simply not a tight-knit community anymore, and you need that for events like this to work. The climate is often hostile, and many people simply don't like each other.
