Sounds good to me.. I'm not sure I would've revealed the crawl though.. I mean hell, there has to be some element of surprise left worth seeing this movie for, right?? It's one thing to post the occasional pic from the film, but the opening crawl is a tad bit much.. No more Spoilers George.. :-$ Keep it real and don't reveal the entire movie before it comes out.. Nothing worse than feeling like you've seen the movie already before actually seeing it, much like it was with AOTC..

I don't have any problems with Mr. Lucas releasing the crawl. Nobody is forcing anybody that doesn't want to know to seek out any information. As far as I'm concerned, he can release the full script online. I would read it in a heartbeat, and it wouldn't ruin the movie for me at all. Mr. Lucas is good at keeping suprises, as I didn't feel that he let much out on AOTC at all before it was released, but with ROTS, he's in a position where there really aren't any secrets anyway. Who doesn't know what's going to happen? Suprises are way overrated, it's all about the execution.

ROTS is a weird beast. Because of ANH, we all know what happens in ROTS and in what order.
There's no need for secrets. Bring on THE FILM OF THE YEAR.

I can't wait for ROTS, fully aware that it's most likely gonna be subpar again like the previous two prequel attempts. But hey, it's Star Wars!
I like my big budget event movies, till i see them.

And I'd be lying if I said I was suprised that all of those grandstanders that pee their pants everytime anything negative is said about LOTR (Nazgul whines all the time BTW) , would show that it's a moral issue they have, because they never seem to mind unless it's about their little precious.
Anybody wonder why I never take their opposition to negative LOTR comments seriously?

This is number 3 on my list to see. Well, I shouldn't say that. cause it makes it less precious than it is. Lets just say that there are 3 movies this year i HAVE to see. This is one of them.

It's #1 for me. If I were to name my top 5 anticpated movies
1. ROTS
2. Fantastic 4
3. Sin City
4. Million Dollar Baby
5. Batman Begins (I'm really hoping for the best here, but I'm very skeptical)
I should have got a new James Bond movie this year. Grrrrr

I guess they blew their chance for not airing the trailer with the Superbowl instead. I mean why air it with Robots when the core audience for Robots would be little children and they arent that interested in SW.

Have i hurt your feelings when i was saying the prequels so far were subpar? Oh dear Mav, that was really not my intention, i'm sorry. What i was trying to say is that despite not falling in love with TPM and AOTC i'm anticipating ROTS, and that's the truth.

The next lie. I could point you to many threads where LOTR was criticized without me interfering (if i would bother, which i don't).

I totally agree that the prequels are a big let down. Its the reason why I dont care for the third one and plus we already know what the ending is. I think the movie is going to be one of the most overestimated movie this year

Um...I don't get my feelings hurt like you do, but King Kong and Peter the precious will probably be in for a hard time, so don't pout too much over it. Obviously, you don't have the reading skills to understand the difference between all the time and EVERYtime. Nobody ever said you were very smart, so I guess it's something we're used to by now.

Maverikk wrote: but King Kong and Peter the precious will probably be in for a hard time Um.., like Lucas with his prequels? Just admit it Mav, you're bitter man, angry that LOTR is getting all the praise, winning all the Oscars, making a buttload of money, the list could go on and on, while SW gets panned all the time (not everytime ) wishing that PJ would suffer the same fate with King Kong. Poor Mav, it's not easy to be a Lucas fan nowadays. I feel for you. Maverikk wrote: Post the link, assface. Oh there are many instances like you claiming PJ is milking the fans with the many DVD releases, PJ deliberately left scenes out of the theatrical editions of LOTR just so he could put them back in in the SEEs for bigger DVD sales, claiming that the cast of TPM didn't actually made negative remarks about the prequels, about the filming experience and so forth. Just let it go Mav, accept the truth. "assface", ts, ts, namecalling - i didn't expect anything else from you. Maverikk wrote: Obviously, you don't have the reading skills to understand the difference between all the time and EVERYtime.
I surely do understand the difference. Why the english lessons i'm wondering? Have i missed something? I'm not whining all the time and certainly not everytime. What's there not to get? :???:
