Just an observation. I like your work so far since you took over, but I think you're getting a bit too ahead of yourself when locking threads. I noticed it with Mav's "BJ from a tranny" thread, when you locked it when I think there was still a LOT of valid and mature discussion left on the topic. And then the swimfan thread, where Lecter even said that he was going to let it lay, and then you still locked it to avoid a Lecter/Grill showdown.

I'm not complaining. They were for good reason. I'd just hate for you to start off this way and then it starts to turn into a real problem.

Thanks for the feedback sommnie. I could understand how you feel about certain threads but I disagree with the Trannie thread and actually I got quite alot of PM thanking me for getting it locked because it was clearly homophobic in some aspect. You maybe right about the swimfan thread but I was sensing a brew escalating because of the bad blood between goldie and lecter. Anyhow dont hestiate to question anything you see that Im doing wrong. I'll have a better handle of it in the future

Personally, I thought it was a bad decision locking that thread and I even thought of mentioning it but I didn't bother posting.

First, I had a nice discussion with Lecter that wasn't over the line. Then I wanted to here more about that GoldMaster chap - I never heard about him before, cool dude.

and lastly and more important, if you were going to call out people in that thread for inappropriate comments, I would have looked at the posters other than Lecter or myself who took cheap and stupid shots.

or truthfully even yourself, who made a comment that there was trouble when there was none or that there was going to be trouble. Now people think there was trouble when there was none but since you mentioned that - it seemed that way. Aren't Mods suppose to moderate and not incite with additional comments because Lecter and myself were just having a nice conversation.

PS. Again let me state that I didn't have a problem with the thread closing if he felt it had run its course but I didn't liked the extra comment.

I think Roid is the best mod we've had in a while. Things actually get locked when they should. Keeps the forums clean and organized and, dare I say it, civil.

i think he's one of the worse ones so far. but thats at me. i just think he lacks balls and brains for the job. locking threads cuz they "may" pose a problem is ridiculous.

snakegate is even worse. like i said the guy had to be on his 4235230305th warning before something was done. he also thought one of his RIP threads about a person who wasn't dead who linked to a wikipedia article who didn't say was dead, and in the post it included how this person was supposedly rapped by a tribe of some sort was not SPAM but a genuine mistake. then to compare me to that cunt. then to have the audacity to PM me saying "maybe" he went to far.

As far as locking threads, you really need to make up your mind. First your complaint was about the number of spam which I locked and deleted yet I did a fair job locking the tranny thread because there was alot of fighting there and people were offended

Anyhow you have fully admitted that you had gotten two of my peace offering messages but you chose not to make peace when I have done so. As a mod its not my job to care but I notice you have used an excuse of me playing favoritism when you were going to be flagged for warning. You had like 5 priors and a banning in the past. It hardly works in your case

My whole point is when I was going to give you a warning, you used the whole argument about biasness towards you to get out of the warning. Just the next time you receive a warning, it wont be based on the whole "Roid hates me so he gave me a warning" argument you tried to get away with by contacting the owners. Its your responsibility to fully accept the warning wheter you think you think you are not at fault or not. Thats all and without my added comments in the end and I will do my part giving out warnings to the second party too

My only complaint is that from the sounds of things, Roid is spending a lot of time PM'ing and answering questions or explaining things here. This causes three problems for Roid:

1) Less time for gaming forum
2) Less time for gaming
3) Risk of future burn out and/or meltdown

To rectify this situation, I propose the following:
1) All members stop PM'ing Roid
2) Members should stop any and all behavior that would force Roid to PM them
3) Do not question Roid or his decisions

90% of what mods do around here is completely unnecessary.
