Post Forget COLLATERAL, Mann's Next Film "MIAMI VICE WILL RU
http://www.latinoreview.com/scriptrevie ... eview.html

For those interested in Michael Manns next film project "MIAMI VICE", Here is a Script Review of the film and looks to be Classic Michael Mann and a recreation of one of the BEST Crime Dramas of the 80's.. In this film, Jamie Foxx plays Ricardo Tubbs played in the TV Series by Philip Michael Thomas and Colin Farrell plays Sonny Crocket who was played By Don Johnson in the TV series.. Now I did enjoy the last movie COLLATERAL, but I also didn't think it was as Great as everyone gushed over on the internet and was not near as good as HEAT which was also Directed by Michael Mann.. MIAMI VICE Looks to be equally as good as HEAT from reading this script review, but will see how it plays out on screen.. I always dig these storylines involving Drug Lords and the Colombians and lot's of Weaponry and Explosions and that's what made the TV series so kick ass along with a fine Series Finale... =D>

Well, if Mann's making it like he did the TV Series, then I'd say this is an up to date movie that's probably alot grittier and not focused on the blonde locks effect...

I thought Collateral was excellent.

They ran out of 70's TV shows, now they're working on 80's TV shows. I swear, if I had a nickel every time I thought they had reached the bottom of the barrel..

Mann, Foxx, and Farrell. That;s a lot of double-letters.

Sounds awesome. Never say the show, but the names are enough to get me in the theater.

Yeah, a friend of mine who is a set/production designer (I occasionally do production illustrations for him) told me that he spoke to Mann this week about possibly working on Miami Vice.

I dont know much about this movie (Although I used to watch the TV show when I was in Jr High/Highschool) , does anyone know if it takes place in the 80's?

.
