Good legs thanks to Hancock underperforming and the week after that also being weak.

 Re: WALL•E Predictions
I have no idea. I do have no doubt that this looks like a great film and will probably end up being one as well, but I'm not sure how it's going to play with kids. I think it'll do well, but not quite up to the same level as The Incredibles. It'll get near it, but not quite enough to reach it.
Opening: $65 million Total: $240 million

This is getting a lot more TV marketing than either Ratatouille or Cars had at this point.

But then again, I was predicting $65m/$217m for Horton. Anyway, my current prediction for Wall-E is $57m/$201.5m

 Re: WALL•E Predictions
Here are Pixar's adjusted figures for their 8 films:
1 Finding Nemo $81,785,572.84 $395,489,078.87 2 Toy Story 2 $79,305,049.17 $339,740,609.56 3 Monsters, Inc. $77,613,252.71 $317,355,161.66 4 Toy Story $47,026,926.74 $309,519,438.08 5 The Incredibles $79,659,052.09 $295,542,104.00 6 Cars $64,433,427.97 $261,597,333.38 7 A Bug's Life $49,780,708.96 $243,677,169.79 8 Ratatouille $48,406,497.49 $212,499,778.75
Ratatouille was saved by its international performance, but on a whole, not a disaster, but certainly an underwhelming domestic run, as it was down 13% admissions wise from Pixar's previous worst performing film, A Bug's Life. 5/8 of Pixar's films adjust to $296 m or more, which is an outstanding feat. Even though Car's performance was a bit underwhelming as well, it does now adjust to $262 m or so.
Thus for Wall-E:
I consider under $150 m bad. I consider $150-200 m disappointing. $200 m-$240 m underwhelming. $240-$260 m solid. $260-$290 m very good. $290 m-$325 m spectacular $325 m + phenomenal

 Re: WALL•E Predictions
I say with the current overload of CG animation, anything above $240 million is awesome for WALL-E.

 Re: WALL•E Predictions
I still feel this is a bit of a wildcard. Disney's marketing this a lot more wisely than they did Ratatouille, so I think it can do a standard $60 million Pixar opening with ease, but if this is really a 2001 for CGI and the early buzz isn't bullshitting (and I don't know why it would be)...

 Re: WALL•E Predictions
This should do very well with great legs. I think it will end up above $250 million, possibly even above $300 million. I'll say $270 million for now.

$52 million Opening Weekend $232 million Domestic Total
A little higher than Ratatouille, though I could see it posting under that film's marks. Cuteness and all, it looks like it could be a tougher sell than we believe it to be.

 Re: WALL•E Predictions
I'd love this to surprise and do a $270m+ gross - but I think it will fall in the $220-$250m range which would be great now that CGI films are common and it may be a hard sell.
O - do you have the overseas BO figures for the Pixar films?

Kung Fu Panda's bigger-than-expected opening I think will hurt Wall-E. I can't see it breaking 70m when another CGI-film opened to 60m+ three weekends before it.
Still standing by 65m/275m. I thought you were one of the greatest predictors around. NEW PREDICTION: OD - 25.0m Saturday - 28.75m (+20%) Sunday - 21.6m (-25%) OW - 75.4m ($18,850 average @ 4,000 theaters) 2nd weekend drop - 35% Domestic TotaL - 324.2m (4.3 muLtipLier) Overseas - 450m WW - 774.2m
