Re: WALL•E Predictions I have no idea. I do have no doubt that this looks like a great film and will probably end up being one as well, but I'm not sure how it's going to play with kids. I think it'll do well, but not quite up to the same level as The Incredibles. It'll get near it, but not quite enough to reach it.

Ratatouille was saved by its international performance, but on a whole, not a disaster, but certainly an underwhelming domestic run, as it was down 13% admissions wise from Pixar's previous worst performing film, A Bug's Life. 5/8 of Pixar's films adjust to $296 m or more, which is an outstanding feat. Even though Car's performance was a bit underwhelming as well, it does now adjust to $262 m or so.
Thus for Wall-E:
I consider under $150 m bad.
I consider $150-200 m disappointing.
$200 m-$240 m underwhelming.
$240-$260 m solid.
$260-$290 m very good.
$290 m-$325 m spectacular
$325 m + phenomenal

Disney's marketing this a lot more wisely than they did Ratatouille, so I think it can do a standard $60 million Pixar opening with ease, but if this is really a 2001 for CGI and the early buzz isn't bullshitting (and I don't know why it would be)...
