Too many fake reviews....

Also, I wouldnt look much into it since I wouldnt expect an 8 year old girl to log on to Yahoo and type up a review or rate it

True True.

I dont think Yahoo will tell us much about this film. Screen Reports will be more effective.

The number isn't going to be useful for Hannah.

The Eye isn't doing as well as I expected (the BOM poll and moviefone were as good as the last two Super Bowl horrors did); look like a $4m day. $1.5m for Over Her Dead Body and $1-1.3m for Strange Wilderness.

If The Eye does indeed do around 4 million OD no more proof should be needed to label Alba box office poison, especially considering One Missed Call did 5.2M its first day with less marketing and a lower theatre count.

I have said this before and i will say this again jessica alba has zero boxoffice draw.

She should stick to big budget ensamble action and graphic novel movies.

I didn't want to see The Eye mostly because of Jessica Alba. I'm getting a little tired of being subjected to her woodenness in every film of hers I see.

I've never noticed any "wooden" performances from her. :er: She's, actually, a pretty decent actress, despite her devastating beauty ( :wub2: ), which probably makes people not take her as serious as she deserves. She is capable of dramatic stuff, comedic stuff, and even action. In fact, I fully expect her to latch onto a roll that will get her some Oscar attention in the future!

I agree. Her acting hasnt been oscar worthy but she is nowhere near as wooden as people make her out to be. Its just that she is so damn hot people dont take her seriously. If she makes herself ugly for a role one day (like Charlize) she may get an oscar nom. Unless she plays a drugged out model or hooker which may get her one too

Not really. It should have a higher ratio than Fool's Gold, and the grade is worse.

I've seen her in Flipper. More than 10 years have passed and she didn't change. I know she has some potential, but I see almost no improvement. If she continues to make bad career choices, nobody will ever take her seriously.

I will I guess. Anyone know what the final numbers were last night? This will be most important for Definitely, Maybe and Spiderwick I'm sure. Since one is suppose to be about flat, while the other is suppose to see a good increase.

Post Re: Yahoo Review Thread - 02/08/08 releases
No one really kept track of this weekend last year, but the last update was 11PM EST, so I think it's okay to use them by increasing them some.

Ghost Rider had 1049, so I guess around 1250 for it's FRI. Had about an 80 ratio.
Music and Lyrics was just above 900 for WED-FRI, may have hit 1000 for it's first 3 days.
Bridge to Terabithia was a little over 500, so probably finished somewhere around 625-650. Had a similar ratio as Lemony Snickets (ended with 1000 ratings and a 100-115 or so ratio, as did Bridge). I'm guessing Spiderwick will have a somewhat similar one.

Of course, Bridge and Lemony opened on FRI's, so yeah. And Ghost Rider opened on FRI so Jumper will have more ratings. But if it's not over like 1400 before the end of the day, I'm doubting it's going to be that big given Ghost Rider likely would have had much more if it had an extra day.
