Am I gonna get band (banned for all of you that didn't get sammy's party references) now too?
What's the all night job? I met someone who used to take the over-night shift at Kramer's Books (in DC) and someone else who only gets off work late at night/early morn. who sometimes peaks in to say hi here. All night job is going to kill you Eagle...I didn't realize we had been talking about those kind of hours. Is it at least something you really want to do? I used to get up at 5 am when I supervised a bakery and I'm pretty sure I was the crankiest person on the face of the planet. My internal clock never got used to it, even after half a year. Good luck.
As to New Years Resolutions, they're only fun the week before the New Years when everyone knows what their resolutions are going to be and totally splurge in the opposite direction because *its the last time once the New Years comes.* Its pretty funny. Ripper, I hope your gym thins out soon. I used to hate waiting half an hour for the one set of dumbells I needed to do a little set of 30 or something. I could see you in the gym actually. This little girl kickin' everyone's asses. They go to hand you the five pound hand weights and you pick up the thirties, wink, and proceed to embarress them with the state of your fitness. w00t!

I'm lucky in that during the week I go to the gym between 5am and 7am, so its not really busy then. But on the weekends I tend to go in around 7-9am range, and I noticed yesterday is was pretty busy, and it is easy, at least to me, to spot the seriosu gym people from the New Year's Resolution people. While I understand it is actually hard to join a gymw hen you decide to ge tin shape, I think part of that comes from regular gym goers who get sick of seeing a surge in memberships around the holidays.
I only do cardio at the gym, I life weights at home since I do that during the gym's peak time of 5-7pm--waiting around for the machine/dumbbells I want does not interest me. I am lucky enough to have access to a decent enough home gym and dumbbell set. I only need tjhe gym because it to fucking cold/snowy to run/bike outside. I went biking at 5am when it felt like -15F, and decided it was time to move my cardio workout indoors. I don;t want to fill up my house with treadmills and exercise bikes though. I have a cross country ski machine that colelcts dust in basement because I fidn it mindnubingly dull.
I find working out is more fun when you are outside, running on a treadmil (or an outdoor track fro that matter)l is just no the same as running in the woods, on a path. Ther is great 1.7 mile path about .5 miles from my house. When its warm, I walk there, and run the entire thing, or a I do a bike loop that involves riding along side the path. BUt being bitch ass cold and nearly getting killed by cars as I run in the shoudler of the street is making this girla ppreciate some indoor biking/running. I try to do cardio classes, like I am starting aspinning class at 6am three days a week. I am contemplating cardio kickboxing, I find these more interesting then the treadmill.

Yeah, there's nothing like outdoor exercise. I love running in the woods and swimming in lakes. don't get me going on biking.
I only went to gyms (will start up again soon, I swear) for lifting. Machines psychologically hurt. All that effort and the scenery never changes. That and the only wind you feel agaiinst your skin is if its coming from a fan. No sense of movement, which is what I need most (hence why my fave is swimming). Gym, I do the same 11 or 12 drills everytime, takes about 45 minutes, and then I leave. I do have a weakness for those eliptical trainers though. I used to do them everyday until the trainers got mad at me for doing them barefoot. I can't really do them with sneaks on though....so its a good thing we had good fun fighting over if Portugal or Halland would wins the euro cup, cause otherwsie they wouldn't have liked me enough to turn a blind eye when ever I pitter-pattered up to the machines in just socks.

I like my privacy while working out. I am not one of those people who likes friends to come along. A trainer there to commetn on form, or an objective and knowldegable to comment on form is great. But I hate going with friends, because then you have to deal witht heir motivcation to go, coordiante workouts witht them, etc. I think this is partly why I like lifting weights at home. I do so in a quiet basement, uninterrupted. When I am on the bike/ellpitcal machine/treadmill at the gym I just crank up the tunes and try to ingore everyone. When biking/running outsie, all I see are strangers, we nod at each other since I see them alot, but that is how I like it. I am not one of those chatty gym people who tries to make friends. I am a self motivator, so having another person there irritates me. I don;t need the, "You can do it speech" or a friend to be there so I go.
I may try lifting at the new gym I just joined, if I can work a time to be there during non peak time since its closer then go to my boyfriend's parents use (I use their home gym to lift weights). But I have my weight lifting works set up nicely to were it takes about 30-40 minutes (depending on upper or lower body), and then I follow it with about 20 minutes of ab workouts. If the gym is going to slow me down, I;d rather do it at home.
I am very picky about things. I think that is why I resisted the gym for so long, if I lived in a warm climate I would not bother with the gym at all, it really is not the same as being outside. Gymshave such dulls ceneray unless the person on the machine in front of you has a really nice ass

[b]How's the weather there in Japan???? It's fucking ice cold here in St.Louis and surprisingly, no 2 feet of snow like our neighbor Chicago is receiving.. St.Louis is always missed when it comes to major snow storms.. The last real one I can recall
It's pretty cold here right now, usually anywhere from 30-35 degrees. It's much colder north of Osaka. The air is very moist since we're not far from the ocean so that makes it feel colder. Plus, homes don't have central heat and air so they are harder to get warm.

It's 3:45 AM here and I guess I've been up for about an hour or so.. Then, around 7:00 AM, I'll go to Church, which was one of my New Years Resolutions to do and figured I would do so since I'm not getting any younger and I'm approaching the 2nd half of my life now at almost 39... I rarely set New Year's Resolution, but I can be driven about something when I want to be. I find it makes it easier to break them because, "no one keeps their resolutions." New Year's is both an excuse to amek change and an excuse why the change did not work. I was wondering, did you used to go to church when you were younger?
Yes I did.. I went to Church as a family for 15 years until my parents divorced, then merely went on an occasion and gradually stopped going all together.. Then, out of the blue 1 day recently, I sat back and began to reevaluate things in life, friends I knew now gone, and began to realize that life is too short and that each and everyone of us has a date with destiny, and a time and place when we pass on.. We should treasure life while we have it and never take things for granted and depending on your beliefs, I feel that the Lord only asks of us, 1 hour of our time out of the week to visit with him and it would be selfish of us not to give that considering the amount of time all of us really have when you think about it out of a whole week.. If I were at all religious, an hour a week is not alot, so I'd go to church. Iwent alot around the age of 11-13, mostly becuase I went through a curiosu about religion phase. I read alot of stuff, visited various religious denominations, etc.

I read your analysis of BATMAN BEGINS and agree with a majority of it except for the possible 110 Million dollar weekend total if it opens on Friday which it does... I'd say anywhere between 50-70 Million is more likely..

Insomnia is what propelled me to join BOM. I used to get bouts of it at times.

The AvP dvd that you bought thats worth 40 bucks.
I hate dvds so i never buy them and i don't care for extras at all. I hated AvP but i always thought it was a movie that could be fixed in some ways by adding some scenes in. Can you tell me if the version you bought will be having extra footage and if so, how much and in what context (if you know about it). Thanks in advance.

It has an Alternate Opening Scene option that focuses on the 1904 Whaling Port from the movie where the people got slaughtered by the Predators and a couple of other short scenes.. I mean, I loved the movie literally and I guess I saw it for what it was worth which was a "VS" movie like Freddy vs Jason instead of how the internet film critics saw it as wanting it to be an Epic or something like Cameron or Scott did and that's not how the Dark Horse Comic is.. It's an all out battle between 2 iconic monsters from a franchise.. What the hell more does a person want?? AVP RULED and I can't wait for AVP II..
