I dont hate celebrities. I don't know them so why should i? Sure Jennifer Lopez's media monopoly may annoy me, and i may not like the percieved public image she likes to put across. But at the core i still dont know the chick so ive got no reason to sit and say shes a total bitttch. Id more likely say "Im not a Jennifer fan and dont really rate her as an actress or singer or whatever" not "Jennifer Lopez is a total shebitch i fuckin hate her and hope she just fucks off away" see the difference there ?

Algren asked me before making this thread, not because he wanted to look better in the eyes of people but he genuinely felt the way he did.

Algren was honest about his feelings in his first thread, though completely tactless. While he did nothing wrong cept lack tact, the responses he received were even more deplorable than what Algren was saying in the first place. And now that he creates this thread, apologied to one of the members personally on this board via PM and took the opportunity to admit his own problem (something i dont see coming from anyone here), people are questioning the man's integrity? On top of that, whats even sadder are the positive comments the guy is getting here. Nice to see you talk sense Algren instead of your stupid views?? Is that how you answer someone??

And this whole Garner thing?? I don't know how it started but just because people like someone and don't like another one doesn't mean we all start this good ol' virtue crap. This isn't about someone famous or rich or celebrity and this isn't about someone being out of their league so they shouldn't say anything? I bet theres not one person here who's called someone fat here or made a joke about someone's look.

What I find even more deplorable is the notion here that you're way out of your league for someone so you can't make such comments? Is the implication that if you're good looking enough, you should be allowed to say whatever you want about someone lesser in looks!?!? Cause thats even worse than whats going on here.

Garner looks like a woman or looks like a man. it doesn't matter. Some people think one thing, some people think another? I personally find garner attractive at times and yes, sometimes, her face shows qualities more suited to a man. And I'm no where as good looking as the worst person in film business but my opinion is my opinion and the fact that i can't ever look or bag a laddy such as that cannot stop me from thinking the way i do. This whole defense of a person's looks is just ridiculus. Rusty has a right to his opinion and so do a lot of other peopel here who do not find garner as attractive as a few obsessed with her here.

Or I might as well expect to wake up tomorrow, see everyone just comment on things positively (cause behold, i'll never get a chance to make a movie at all so how dare i comment on the quality of gigli or elektra or battlefield earth or love actually (Yea i admit it, i thought it sucked!!).

Baba, Algrens views can be quite agreeable at times - but this is the first thread in which hes really put over his views in a way that is really well thought out and shows that thought actually goes into his posts rather than saying things to rouse up other people - its made me think about him far differently, and i think giving people into trouble for praising the guy in this effort is unfair.

And i dont really know what your talking about with the whole Garner thing- you seem to have read the wrong signals. I'd personally like to see people present their opinions in a way that may be less offensive to fans or whatever, because at the core of it, making cheap shot comments at x or x is what starts arguments. It has NOTHING to do with the way someone looks, its the principle that people are coming online and making fun of others, reguardless of who that may be, famous or not. I dont like that notion at all.

This post was not directly targeted towards you but i'd be lying if i said you weren't a big part of it. Designed to make fun of people so what? I've heard you make comments about people here that are downright rude. Have you ever met them? Sure you've shared a few posts here with them and will a bit later too. To me, that equates to the same thing? No one here harbors any bad thoughts about garner and frankly, saying she looks like a guy is no more than an observation .. the fun starts when people come in to defend the person to this extreme point and then create situations for people to retort back ... the whole thing escalates till the fun making begins ...
