 Re: Where is Arsi?
He claims he's in St. Johns and has been "traveling a lot for work" recently. I don't buy it. He's hiding.

 Re: Where is Arsi?
Apparently I did miss out on some drama! I have no idea what's going on, but I get the subtle notion that arsi and loyal are fighting. It's too bad because loyal and arsi were like best buds, and that's the way it should be. It's like watching your favorite TV show and then finding out the cast really hated each other. I'm not sure I can ever listen to their podcasts the same way now. Anyhow, I demand they kiss and make up, but without the kissing.

Poor Arsi. He comes back and the Mean Girls thread is immediately deleted. No evidence remains!

Since it's not there anymore, neither of our assessments has any meaning.

that is all. Why would you want to go look at icebergs? Is there gambling, drinking, pretty lights, or scantily clad women there? I don't go anywhere on vacation unless there are 3 of those things present.

Hey it did disappear! I saw it, and it sounded like a well thought, well written post. Maybe it was too well written?

But, clearly this path isn't solving anything, and while I have no pull, it should be noted that if arsi ever goes, I'll go too. So, let's play nice and retract the nukes!

Are you happy now, Jeff? Now we don't have any mystery to ponder over, nothing at all.

 Re: Where is Arsi?
I think that's the right approach, loyal. Frankly, I don't think it's any of our business anymore. I just want you all to be happy again Unless your name is Michael and you kiss lecturers' asses. Or zennier, and kiss everyone's ass.

So...yeah. The drama. How exciting. This should rank up there with Eagle's bitchfests.

Well, I don't know about anyone else, but I'd sure like to know the results of the Mean Girls thread.

 Re: Where is Arsi?
When you have a group of personal friends in charge (whether it be a site, some school club, anything like this), with one or two being out on everything, there will be problems. The group will find something they feel is personal and shouldn't apply to them and continue to side with one another, overlooking rules, or at least putting them in the back seat while they go on about whatever. You cannot "control" situations when personal feelings get in the way. I mentioned this a looooong time ago, but it was basically ignored and called the fair decision. I challenge or call out anyone that is close to me if they are in the wrong, or..... off base or something. It's not called "being a bad friend", it's called being fair. Everyone should be treated equally no matter their position, the people they talk to, their past, etc.

 Re: Where is Arsi?
I had thought that things like this couldn't happen because of a clear separation between admin responsibilities and modding. I was surprised when the guy got banned because in the past people have asked admins to ban people and they'd been like hey we're not mods, that isn't our area.
But maybe things changed somewhere along the way and I missed the announcement. It could be, I don't pay that close attention to this site anymore.
