 Therrrrrreeeeee goes, Johnny!
Sadly, Johnny Carson has died at age 79. Too bad, really. Of what I saw of his version of The Tonight Show, he was a really funny guy.

He means nothing to me, but may he rest in peace.

That's such a shame.
And to think, just two days ago I was reading an article about how he is a secret contributor to Letterman.

I read that, too. Quite a shock when I read that. I don't think he has done much of anything since leaving The Tonight Show.

He learned Sanskrit. That's a lot.

I always wondered why he stayed out of the spotlight after stepping down. He was a big deal in American culture, bigger than Leno or Letterman will ever be, even though I prefer Letterman.

Awww...I just heard about this on the news this very second. I saw this post, but didn't read it and had no idea what it was even about.

There'll never be another Johnny Carson. When I was kid it was always a special treat if I got to stay up and watch The Tonight Show. Great memories......

RIP, Johnny. On the night of his last episode, I got to stay up and watch it because we didn't have school the next day for some reason. I think I was 8...he'll be missed.

Johnny Carson was definitely a Legend in the world of late night and will be sorely missed.. What a funeral that'll be.. All I have to say to this is: Jay Leno BETTER have a fucking tribute show to this Man, an entire hour devoted to him, a Man that surprisingly and shockingly passed the torch on to him instead of David Letterman as all Chronicled in the HBO Movie "The Late Shift" with Kathy Bates as his boss and I swear, if Leno doesn't pay a healthy fucking tribute to this Man that propelled his career to where he's at, then he's a tool...

Did I hear correctly that there will be no memorial service? He really was a private guy, I guess.
