Post Hello Hello & recommend me some movies please!
I just wanted to say hello to the BOM posters here =) (so this is where you all went!!!!)
Although I didn't participate in many discussions, I was on BOM too

I'm gonna list some of the movies I like, and I'd like people to recommend others please (since you'll know what type of movies I like)

Here we go

The Cube trilogy (Cube, Cube 2:Hypercube, and soon to be released Cube Zero)
1984
Dogma
Donnie Darko
Kalifornia
Pi
Requiem for a Dream
Saw

There's plenty more I have on dvd but those are just a few...

Please help - I'm looking for similar movies of the same genre (ie psychological thrillers, etc) or anything you think i'd like

Thanks

A few psychological thrillers:

The Ring
The Village
Darkness

White Noise is ok, not the best of recent memory though

There are plenty more, I just can't think of them.

I asked for suggestions...if u think those movies are so crappy, recommend some better ones instead of trolling.

Oh dio Jen....I was so scared during that movie. I'm pretty wimpy though and let me tell you. I picked up a faulty copy and the last 5 minutes of the movie were cut off, so I never actually learned *what happened*. It ended so dramatically (to me) that I didn't realize there were no closing credits (that the film was cut short). I didn't sleep all night. Haha. Good recommendation. You know it was filmed locally in MA, but the asylum is now being torn down despite national historic monument status? I think I remember reading about it shortly afterwards since the building had vaulted into the local limelight after the movie came out.

From your selection looks to me like you might also check out Blade Runner (Director's Cut) if you haven't already seen it.

If you like psychological thrillers, how about Identitiy with John Cusack, Ray Liotta, and Amanda Peet? It's a twisted little movie. I would also recommend Death And The Maiden with Ben Kingsley and Sigourney Weaver.

I loved it and the thought of that asylum being torn down pains me. I signed the petition, but there were less than 4,000 sigs on that thing. I've seen pics of the actual place that look scarier than what they showed in the movie. It's a shame you missed the ending.
