 Ice Age
Ice Age Quote: Ice Age is a 2002 American computer-animated film created by Blue Sky Studios and released by 20th Century Fox. It was directed by Carlos Saldanha and Chris Wedge from a story by Michael J. Wilson. The story follows three Paleolithical mammals attempting to return a lost human baby to its parents. The film stars Ray Romano, John Leguizamo, Denis Leary, and Goran Visnjic.
The film was originally to be directed by Don Bluth and Gary Goldman, and produced in 2D by Fox Animation Studios, but the rise of CGI animation and the failure of Titan A.E. destroyed Fox's traditional animation division; hence, Bluth and Goldman transferred their duties for Chris Wedge and Carlos Saldanha from Fox's CGI division Blue Sky. The film was met with mostly positive reviews and was a box office success, starting a series with two sequels, Ice Age: The Meltdown and Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs.

Extremely funny, though not outstanding animated. It is a hell of a fun ride nevertheless. (B+)

I liked it, but nothing I would watch a lot. I liked the little guy the best, with his acorn. Forget his name already. Anyway, decent film. Hopefully the sequel is better.

Pretty much agree on that. It must be the second-funniest CGI animted film I have ever seen (behind Toy Story 2). The animation is not as great as Pixar's, but the humor more than makes up for it.

Not the best animated movie out there, but certainly not the worst either. Ice Age never really gives its characters any initial grounding to launch off of. But about halfway through the film we've caught up to that point and suddenly everything starts to click a bit more. The humour was maybe too slapstick and the cultural references were not handled tactfully, but that said It was a really fun movie with a sweet ending. I'll see the sequel.

The jokes never made me laugh. I enjoyed some parts, but it just seemed too monotone. Some characters were annoying, others mildly amusing. Still, it's better than most of CGI crap past Pixar.

Maybe its that I just hate Ray Romano, but I did like Liguizamo and Leary and of course the little squirel creature. Like earlier stated its probably some of the worst CGI animation. But had some moments. B

I rewatched it a week ago and I still find it to be very very entertaining and funny, even with its rather shoddy animation. My B+ still stands.

 Re: Ice Age
One of my guilty-pleasure animated films. It might not quite deserve what I give it, but I love it nonetheless.
