Re: Fav Summer Movies Poll. No love for Hulk. Batman leading
See?? The Batfans and even Indy fans can take great delight in this Poll and poke fun at The INCREDIBLE HULK barely regestering on this Poll, but when MARVEL comes out with another trailer by months end with the FX Looking even better than they already look and another action packed, fleshed out trailer involviong more of the Plot, this tide will turn and as of now, I still think TDK is going to backfire or at best, disappoint and not be as good as WB marketing the hell out of it with all the goofy viral marketing and shoving it down our throats..

Re: Fav Summer Movies Poll. No love for Hulk. Batman leading
The problem with these polls is that you can only choose 1 movie. It's like with the poll the other day; Indy had 60% I think, and Batman 20%. Does anyone really expect Batman to make 3 times less money than Indy?

Does anyone really expect Batman to make 3 times less money than Indy? No No No. I designed a new poll idea. Just check as many boxes for the movies you like. You can select up to 10 multiple poll choices which will get smaller as we go into additional rounds to narrow the field. Thanks. Also this isn't for $ / BO, it is for your most anticipated movie. And for any Other Movie Not Listed votes, that can just be added into the next round so that all suggestions will have a chance in future rounds.

FYI, I myself wasn't poking fun at the Hulk as I voted for it with one of my choices. I was just quetioning why no one else did. Thanks for clearing it up, Hope it is as good as you expect.

 Re: ? Indiana=Batman>IronMan=Wall-E>Smart>Tropic=Hellboy>Hancock
I went with Iron-Man, although it's really a 3 way tie between Hulk, Indy 4, and Iron-Man. Dark Knight is close, but I don't really care for the Joker's look. The guy in the fan made trailer looked better. I voted for Iron-Man because it's the only original one of the group.

Re: MostAntSummerMovie. Down to 5 Poll Picks. Bye Hellboy,Narnia
I will say on Iron Man that I wasn't impressed with the first trailer but I loved the much improved 2 trailer.
and it looks like Iron might hold on to the round of 4.
well out for the day, see you later, will update tonight or tommorrow as some smaller movies look to get booted.

Nothing else. This one will actually make me go to theater for the first time since 2005. Now that the polling choices are almost gone - with the exception of the Batman - Indiana Jones question - lets get back to what this thread was suppose to be about. A general most anticipated summer movies discussion. So what are the movies that you are planning to see?

Webslinger wrote: Ten Most Anticipated: 1. The Dark Knight- Looks even better than Batman Begins, which placed #4 on my 2005 top ten list. Heath Ledger is going to be fucking amazing as the Joker. 2. Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull- It's the first Indy film released in my lifetime, and it looks to have recaptured the spirit of the original trilogy. I have a feeling that it will be all kinds of awesome. 3. Pineapple Express- The red band trailer is the funniest I've seen for any movie this year, and Apatow's gang is yet to fail with the R-rating. Seth Rogen and James Franco are going to make for awesome buddies in this buddy-stoner-action-comedy. 4. Wall-E- I'm not quite as crazy for this as some on this site, but it looks like another big winner from Pixar. They've yet to make a movie to miss my yearly top ten list. 5. Iron Man- The first trailer had me doubtful, but every promotional piece since then has convinced me that this is going to be a pretty good movie. I love the cast, particularly Robert Downey, Jr. in the lead. It should be a solid way to kick off the season. 6. Get Smart- Favorite comedian (Steve Carell) + Bona Fide Hottie (Anne Hathaway- ) + Good trailer = I'm there opening day. 7. The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian- I actually really liked the first film and this one looks like an improvement over it. 8. Tropic Thunder- I love the concept and the cast. The trailer didn't quite live up to my expectations, but odds are a funnier red band trailer will probably surface sooner or later. Either way, it's got a lot of potential as a movie. 9. Hancock- Despite a weak teaser trailer, I've still got faith in this one. Will Smith has been making good career choices lately and Peter Berg has already directed two films I really liked (The Rundown and The Kingdom), so I'm hoping for another success here. 10. Step Brothers- Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly were an awesome screen pair in Talladega Nights, and regardless of whether this ends up being PG-13 or R (I'd guess the former after Semi-Pro and Walk Hard), they're going to bring a great deal of that magic back for this one. Now that I have time to breath after finishing the polling, nice write-up. All are movies I want to see except Narnia depends on the reviews. and on Tropic Thunder, I will have to read more on that one as I don't remember what it is about.

Ok. Tropic Thunder is the Ben Stiller parady.
I am not that turned on by Ben as a Rambo type so I have to check out the trailer to see how I feel about this.

Re: general most anticipated and summer movies discussion thread
This last poll option is very unecessary. I dont really see how one person anticipating Indy or Batman would not at least be curious in the other. It should just be the two movies.

Who knows? Anyway. all comments are welcome, if that voter would like to explain his thoughts. Maybe they feel HF is too old or just want to remember the earlier ones or don't like adventure movies or missed the earlier series in the theaters and don't want to see it. Who knows? So it comes down to the final 2 - Batman or Indiana Jones with 1 pick Indiana Jones FIRST & The Dark Knight SECOND 22% [ 4 ] Indiana Jones FIRST & The Dark Knight WHENEVER 33% [ 6 ] Indiana Jones FIRST & The Dark Knight NEVER 0% [ 0 ] The Dark Knight FIRST & Indiana Jones SECOND 27% [ 5 ] The Dark Knight FIRST & Indiana Jones WHENEVER 11% [ 2 ] The Dark Knight FIRST & Indiana Jones NEVER 5% [ 1 ] WON'T SEE EITHER MOVIE 0% [ 0 ] You may select 1 option Total votes : 18
