8 of those came in 2 games, the other 11 in 14.

well then he is capable of having very bad games plus the fact that he wasn't able to carry his time in 2 playoff years, I still say that Romo has to prove himself to get Dallas to the 2008 Super Bowl.

I like those picks as it will be like the Super Bowl all over again, where we get to laugh and laugh at all of the fools who aren't giving the Giants any well deserved respect.

You'll be laughing over the first pick of the year? Okay......

The only reason why I'm picking the Skins by 10 is not because I think they're the better team. They aren't (on paper). I just think the Giants at home on Thursday night with the championship celebration and banner unveiling are going to be somewhat distracted. They're going to make mistakes.

Then again, we're months away from the game. I might change it to the Skins by 14. ;)

But in 2008, the Giants will be playing to show that they were a deserving Super Bowl winner in 2007 and I would hope that they won't be taking any games lightly. They can't take any games for granted as even 1 game might make the difference in their 2008 Super Bowl run.

The Giants are garbage, they won't even make the playoffs in 2008.

6-10 or 7-9 is my guess, with 8-8 being the absolute best they can do.

With only 6 wins needed, it will come by mid-season.

I know the Giants will beat that easily as just their RB's will win that many games.

The only way the Giants will be bad next year is if Manning starts throwing interceptions again. And no one can say whether he will or won't. And I think that the biggest reason he won't is the development of the 2 new rookie RB's and Steve Smith from last year as the 3rd WR. That takes alot of pressure off him.

Also, the defense will be back. NFL Sack Leaders.

Agree but there is no reason to believe they will either. Do you think they want to go from the Super Bowl to not making the playoffs. They are going to want to prove themselves. And they had the whole off-season to celebrate.

All I am saying that it could go either way, unlike most of the Giants haters, who just say they are going to lose without providing any details.

What's a chocker? :P

No. That spot is still held by the 2004 New York Yankees. In the Super Bowl anything can happen since it's just one game. The Patriots played like crap and it still took the Giants best effort to beat them on their final drive. If you play like crap for that one game, you're done. The Yankees had four of those in a row.

Don't get me wrong. Going 18-0 and then losing that final game is brutal, but nowhere near as bad as the '04 Yankees.

Maybe, Maybe Not. But you have to look at the prize.

Let's say the Yankees won that game. What would it have meant, a AL Championship and then a trip to the WS. And then if they won the WS, WS, #27. Would it really have meant alot?

I am sorry but losing 4 games in a row isn't that hard. I personally said at 3-0 they had a good chance to come back as there pitchers were set up and all you have to do is win one game at a time.

Now on the Pats, they were 1 game, and what a 12 point favorite, to win the Super Bowl and maybe become the greatest team, QB, coach, etc in NFL history.

Looks to me that the Pats missed out on alot more especially since all year they wanted a perfect year.

No. We're looking at who choked the hardest.

So you're telling me that every championship the Yankees win from here on out is pretty much meaningless since they already won so many times?

Quote:

No team in MLB history had or has since lost four games in a row in a playoff series. Apparently, it is very hard to do.

Quote:

So your whole theory on "looking at the prize" is based on a maybe?

Quote:

The Patriots missed a 19-0 season by 35 seconds in one game. They became I believe the third team to ever go 18-1.

The Yankees missed an AL Championship, a World Series title (Cardinals had no shot no matter who they faced) and a MLB leading 27th championship, when they had one strike to go in Game 4 of the ALCS and then proceeded to lose the next three only to have their arch rivals go on and win their first title in 86 years.

Here's the difference. The Patriots choked. The Yankees choked and collapsed. Don't get me wrong, the Patriots won't be looking back fondly on this season, but the '04 Yankees have the biggest choke job to date.

Too bad Sept 4 is so far away because I want the Giants to again show people how little they know about football.

The Giants begin the defense of their Super Bowl championship at Giants Stadium against the Washington Redskins on Thursday, Sept. 4.

Patriots Apologize To The Only People That Matter

The owners.

This even more solidifies the fact that the Patriots ARE the class of the NFL.

Class? so there is no other team that is classy and why does this push them to the top of the class.?

Also I would agree that Kraft the owner is OK but the coach is still a question as he still seems to be hiding things?

Also, his comment from the article is wierd.

"I've never seen a tape of another team's practice. Ever!" he said Tuesday. "Certainly not that one."

Seems like he has seen tapes.
